Do it. The slant is a dog in a truck, and can be made better even without a turbo. Just know that even on a budget it will get a bit expensive.

Really like your setup baker, and have seen your build thread. Did you have to have someone machine your reed valve plate? Fear of that is what had me considering my kooky vac-op butterfly idea. I have a lot of stuff/tools in my garage, but don't know if I can handle that.

Dang man I hope all that is behind you! Good on the manager but holy crap I think I'd have fired that kid before it got so far. Find your happy place, take a few days to relax and not think about the car, and then back to it at your own pace. Excellent work so far.

Only info I've seen is to go a couple heat ranges colder to keep them from pre-igniting (from the electrodes getting too hot iirc). They can give you the part number at whatever parts store you go to. I prefer NGK.

Resurrecting this thread as I'd like to see any progress on the projects that have been discussed. Also I wonder if anybody has an "inside view" of gale's manifold? I've thought of trying to fab a similar setup and wondered if a butterfly, boost referenced with a vacuum pod, could be used...

Yea I think you'd have had to make the carb adapter, or modify a 90* elbow made for running a throttle body off a carb'd intake (efi conversion) Wilson manifolds and others make them. Probably cost prohibitive iirc.
