Says the purple is positive and green is ground so on my pickup positive is White and negative is black im really suspecting the pick up when you spin the distributor by hand you can't really feel the magnet as it passes the reluctor. As I remember noticing in the past.

Funny you ask that. I replaced the pick up 2 weeks ago and its not straight or square to the six sided cant think of what its called. But it was running great with stock ECU. The gap not being square cant really adj to .008 is the MSD more sensitive to the gap than stock.

Okay I bought a headlight switch and flasher unit head lights and turn signal all work yes.

okay took five minutes and replaced dimer still no head lights so maybe tomorrow i will get out the multimeter and check the fusable link.

I will look for the black wire tomorrow I just got the car no diagram or shop manual.

Okay so rebuilt the carb adj valves runs great opps no head lights high or low. Any one know how to clean the head light switch. What else could it be ???? also no turn signals running lights all work brake lights work. 76 Feather Duster 225 spd car. :oops::oops::oops:
