HF Predator 4375/3500 portable generator ??

I have the HF 4000 Model, with the wheel kit. I bought it a couple years ago when we had a flood, and no power for a week. No complains it did its job running a couple lights, two fridges, and a small freezer. Don't wait till you need one to get one, as everyone in your area will need one also...

    Today's Aerosol's are crap

I do the same as Kendog, putting nozzles in lacquer thinner, till I use the can again. Also when I start to use a aerosal can, I shake the hell out of it, to make sure everything is mixed up, and shake it while using it also. They seem to work better that way. I get very few cans that won't...

    Distributor wrench

You can still buy them. Even HF has them. I have 2 of them. One is double ended 1/2 X 9/16. The other the handle can be rotated to help get at the bolt better. It has a 3/8 extension socket end on it, to rotate the closed box end on it. Used them on aircrfaft in the Navy, for certain things...

New Spray Paint Cans That Stop Spraying After The First Squirt?

Bad Idea throwing any aerosal cans in a fire... They're not meant to burn, they explode. While in the Navy in 64, one of our paint lockers caught on fire. Me and another guy tried getting it under control till the base fire dept could get there, didn't work, aerosal cans were going off like...

    Wilton vise

Those Wilton vises go for big bucks at some sales. China vises can't compare, they crack real easy(read junk). Treat those ole Yankee made vises good, and they will last for many generations. barracudadave67

    Welders

I have a Hobart 140. It welds everything on a car that I need. I use it on a dedicated 110 volt, 30 amp circuit, in my garage. Miller does not own Hobart. Both Miller, and Hobart, are owned and operated by Illinois Tool Works. ITW owns lots of tool brands, to many to list. barracudadave67

    Floor Shop Press

I have the HF 20 ton, on a bigger base with casters. I also rigged it up with the 20 ton air over hydraulic jack, and a foot pedal air valve. With the air valve, you can use both hands to do your pressing. Had to do a little modding for the air jack. Works for me. Here's a pic of my HF 20 ton...

    Aeresol cleaner

For cleaning in my engine bay I use Windex window cleaner, works for me. I don't think the ballast in a box is a good idea. They tend to run very hot, so air moving around them, helps keep them half way kind of cool. On my ballast I use extra long mounting bolts, and put 5/16 nuts, in back of...

    Rapid Air System

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and ordered the Rapidair, Maxair system, with 3/4 inch I D tubing. This one does not have plastic fittings. It is PVC/aluminum/PVC, tubeing, with nickle plated brass compression fittings. I read lots of reviews of this system, and 99.9% were good. The...

    Rapid Air System

Who here has, or has used the "Rapidair" distribution system in your gararge, or shop where you work on your car(s). I'm thinking of installing their 1/2 inch system in my gararge/ shop. At present I have regular air hose running up in the rafters, and down, at a few places in the gararge...

    HF 110lb Blaster questions

I am using the HF#68994, 20 lb blaster on the underside of my 66 Dart. It is working quite good. My compressor puts out 9.5 cfm @125 psi, and even with this blaster being small, the compressor still has to work a little to keep up. I just sold (yesterday) a big new "Bad Boy Blaster", it would...
