Updated. What are people using to host now? Or is there now enough storage to just attach?

That makes sense. Having a place to do the work is very important.

    My Duster Adventures

Just read this whole thread. Great build. I'm about to be starting back on mine soon. I'm assuming since there hasn't been any updates recently you've been pretty busy. Hopefully we will see more soon!

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I'm trying to figure out what I am going to do with my build. I have a 318 in the can, not sure it is worth rebuilding it or jumping right to a new hemi for cheaper for the same power output. There is a lot of extras you need to run the new hemi in an a-body but...

The Great Pumpkin - '71 Duster

Did I miss it somewhere or did you say what the new heads are? Also is it the W heads you are taking off or was there another iteration at some point?

Well, This have actually changed quite a bit since I last updated this thread. I am getting married in July, so that probably won't help with the finances, but I might be getting a house with a garage so that will definately help with the workspace issues. I have decided to just fix the...

    Project Riddler's Ride - 1976 Plymouth Duster

The only concern about that would be that Grade 8 bolts just break when you exceed their limits... Where as the grade fives will stretch and bend more... Definitely something to consider...

Thanks for the kind Words. The conquest is actually for sale because with school and work I just don't have time for more than 1 project. My Duster pretty much stalled when school started. I have been doing good to even have time to order a few more parts. And I have yet to put the engine...

More Parts... I now have Two-piece 11.75" x 1.25" brakes for the front. I also got my brake prop. valve, a bunch of aluminum rod-ends (I decided to upgrade to Aluminum and save some weight) and threaded rods for the suspension and my axle mount parts for my Watts link. I'll get pictures soon.

    "Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

you might consider tilting the radiator FORWARD at the top. It will promote better airflow through it. Specifically if you do an air inlet from the spoiler.

    "Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

Yeah, My second one will take all the performance developments from my first one, and integrate them into a whole package. I want it to be a reasonable substitute for a Aston Martin. Fast, and perfectly developed. Unfortunately, that takes a lot of time and more money then I'll have while I'm...

    "Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

Well, I have an ipod... But I don't have much in the way of music on it, And I really wouldn't be able to hear it in my first one anyway. I'm doing my builds in the opposite order. Build one to flog, then make a pretty one with the learned lessons.

    "Rookie-Touring" '69 Dart

I have been considering wiring up something to put an ipad into mine... But then I stop and ask myself.. Why? And when would I use it. And By that point, I've pretty much talked myself out of it. haha!

    A tale of two Dusters

So today I finally got my engine up on stand so I can work on it now. It is always interesting opening up engines with unknown backgrounds. This 360 ran really strong when we took it out of the van so I was really wondering what was in it. Well, it turns out it has been over bored and...

Thanks, but I already have a stock one. I'm looking for a performance one. And the aluminum one would help shed some weight.

    A tale of two Dusters

I just got a package with my 1.09 Torsion bars and shock mounts as well as a couple other random pieces.. Here is a picture. More parts are flowing in, but I've also hit some hang-ups. I was going to go ahead and go to a full three-link rear when I changed the rear-end. But I don't...

    A tale of two Dusters

Hello all! Sorry it has been so long since I updated. Progress has been very slow as of late. On the bright side, I decided that I wasn't making progress and I would like to get it driving before I transfer for the spring semester, so I modified the design slightly, am almost done getting...

Nice tire set-up! I considered going with a tire set-up similar to that just to baffle people. Also, watch your tire temps as they are made for somewhat lighter vehicles so they will heat up more.

Well everyone, I realize that many of you probably thought that this thread had died, and to a certain extent, it did. Life, school, and my new internship haven't given me much time or money to work on it. But I have been working on the designs for parts and slowly gathering parts. Like these...

    72 duster Build progress

Very nice! One body work tip though.. You will get everything a lot flatter if you just hand sand it with a long block. At the body shop I worked at we only used power tools to strip. once we started to get it straight it was all hand sanding. Kinda isn't the most fun thing in the world, but...

    1974 Plymouth Duster Restomod

Very nice project! Good to see another young student working on an A-body. I am 19 and about to get my AAS in Mechanical Engineering technology and go on for my BS. I have two 72 dusters but they have pretty much come to a standstill because of the same reason yours has. Parts sourcing. I'm...
