If you are thinking of recoating it with more clear dont go any finer than 800 grit. If your going to wet sand & buff i would start with 1500 grit then 2000. If there is 4 coats of clear you will be fine. My normal is 3 coats of DA sand it with 1500 then buff it.

The car i am going to be working on for a guy is a 67 barracuda notchback. He has a parts car.

Id start with the floors. Start up front & work your way back. but thats me everyone is different

yep i had to cut them to length they fit nice just not all that tight so i glued them in i used weatherstrip glue not hard at all

Took the hood latch off & oblonged the bolt wholes. I got the hood to go over to the left side a little more. The rt side is a 1/4 inch & the left is 3/16. Its gonna have to do but now i have to respray the stripes on the front header panel

the cowl gap & the front gap are spot on the hood hinge springs are new he got lighter ones because its a fiberglass hood i slid the bracket that the latch bolts onto over as fare as it will go

So i aligned the hood on this barracuda i am working on & it looks good not perfect but good. The side gaps where it meets the fenders are ok. I align it with out the latch & catch. I paint it & put the stripes on it. Now every thing lines up. Now i go & put the catch & latch on & i cant get...

I have a 67 barracuda. The windshield & rear window plastic trim is missing. I was thinking since it is so expensive i just might go with a black rubber rope. Has anyone done this ? Where did you get it ? What size did you use ? Thanks

i lay on my back & with a spray can i paint the whole thing the rad support, fenders head light area

use fine line tape tape it up it can be done

no just some stripes i know what it takes to do a whole car with no engine bay, trunk area & jambs i can do a car with 2 qts of PPGs DBC

Dig it all out or it will keep cracking. Spray some primer, sealer or what ever you have on any bare metal spots. Lay a nice bead of seam sealer. Use a small brush or your finger with a glove on & some paint thinner to smooth it out.

I am doing a red, white & blue paint job for a guy & he wanted me to use House of Kolor base coat. They have a red, white & blue colors thats suppose to be spot on the same as the flag. I order 1 qt. of each. That should be more than enough. NOT ! The base coat i got is very very translucent...

I just reamed out the wear the upper hing bolts to the door. That got it a little closer. So broke out the duraglass & putty & added a little to the cowl. Much better

just ordered ones from Metro 20 in ill let you all know how they fit the ones from soft seal said for fastback on the package even

Soft seal brand is what i bought. It says 67-69 barracuda fastback 2 door hard top #ss-ch1022 they are way to short also they didnt fit like i thought they should unless it was me lol

I bought new quarter window seals for the 68 barracuda i am working on from Detroit Muscle. They are way to short. Every place i look at has the same ones & they are all to short. Where do i get the correct lengths ? Its the seal the goes on the rear of the door glass.
