So I didn't get around to busting the rear bump-stops off yet, but I DID get paid, which means.... NEW WHEELS IN THE FRONT! :D Probably should've gone with the 210/70r14, but those would've looked too big with the projected 235/60r14's for the rear, and 185/60 was the only smaller tire...

Update: Didn't get paid today as hoped, so I'll have to wait until Monday to get the tires mounted and balanced. Still, got bored and found a barracks mate with a 3/4" socket, so I pulled the front bump-stops off the bumper for a more sporty look. Gonna find some chrome carriage bolts to pop in...

He mentioned something about having a complete B-body rear end... Not sure if it was the one he was talking about, though. I'd imagine a B-body 8-3/4 would be quite a bit longer than an A-body one... Would the bbp equipment fit on the 8 3/4", and what would that entail for work? I always try to...

Update: It's been windy as all hell for the past few weekends, preventing me from really doing anything crazy to her... But, that hasn't stopped me from making just a bit more progress....... I am currently still turning the new speedo to the old speedo's mileage (mainly because I don't want to...

Well, right about now, I'd say it's in Really/Tough shape... but once Rani/Tugs some dents out, and maybe Re/Transmissions the thing, it might turn out to be Reliable/Transportation!!! ;) (not sexual inuendo) Also, did they actually make R/T wagons? Also also, I vote for green too... I think...

As promised days late, photos of the rears courtesy of ike61 As you can see, I don't know if I can squeeze 235's on it as planned without modifying the fender wells...... 225's might fit, but 235's I'm afraid won't..... Still, I'm not without options.... I could either smoosh the fender...

Shocks are shot. Also, 185/70 is what's on there now, and I'm gonna go with the same size just to have the smaller front tires look to make it look faster than it really is... (Did I say 60 somewhere? I meant 70, sorry)... Also, these rub too, every so often... Will have to get new shocks...

Update: Got the rear wheels and lug nuts today, so hopefully I can get them tired this weekend and get them on. The rears I got from a user named ike61, and they are absolutely phenomenal for the price! Thanks, ike61!! They are a bit deep, though (I love the depth, they look really cool), but...

Wiper questions... I got a pair of bushings and got one stuck in the driver's side wiper-to-motor linkage, but it would seem all the other joints are clipped on to keep them in place (seems like a C-clip or some sorts is holding each link), and apparently they take a different bushing because...

Oh it definitely has personality, which I'm trying to fix little by little.... Mirrors don't match, tires don't match, driver's side is 99% flawless while the pass side has rust holes in each section (one door, one rocker, one fender, and one quarter), she's rocking two driver's side bezels...

A mock-up done on photoshop. :D Also, I finally got me one of them high-speed rear quarter glass stickers!! (ESS makes Crossbow(R) eye protection... Some of the best there is!! I had an extra sticker kicking around, so I figured "why the hell not!?") - CK

Pics of the front wheels. Still waiting on the rears to come in: 14x7's. I specifically asked for rough and dirty wheels, because I don't want something super-flashy for such a piece of junk car; a good used pair is more than sufficient. She's nowhere near a show-car, so there's no need to put...

Tried googling, and what little I could find on the actual thread size suggested 1/2x20, so I went with that... Funny, 1/2x20 is the size for most AK muzzle brakes (though, left-hand thread)! :glasses7: Also, bolt pattern is 5x4.5... Not sure if that's bbp or sbp... Thanks, - CK

Update: Not much new... Put some Mobil-1 and Lucas in and she doesn't smoke anymore and also the knock is almost completely gone. Also ran a new chunk of vac hose from carb to some sort of electronic component which the previous owner cut and capped, and got the front wheels polished-up and...

    What does it cost?

I look at it like this: You can spend $40,000 on a brand new car, and have something like this: And lose your car in the parking lot every time you walk out of some place.... OR You can spend $40,000 on an older car and have something that's getting more and more rare to see on the...

Ya. Unfortunately, some rube cut the door panels up to stuff speakers in them. >:\ Also, the seats are not original (Boca package seats had the Boca pattern on the seats, mine has velour? and vinyl straight red seats)... Was thinking of trading even-up for a complete black interior, sans...

Actually, I have the gauge pod pulled at the moment (speedo doesn't work, speedo and cable on the way), and have decent access to the area. Also, I figure if I pull the glove box liner, I can get to the other side. What sucks, though, is that they don't move at all... They're frozen like that...
