    Post your custom gauge cluster

20 or 22 gauge sheet metal bent and trimmed. Then outlined with 1/8” rolled bar. It was fairly tedious to make.

It's in my build thread. Couldn't tell you which page off the top of my head but I'd guess it's somewhere around page 5.

    Post your Dash Pics

The Peak Dash was the only one I know of as shown by Matts440. They were very expensive but really nice. Unsure of the status of availability at this point. I made mine with sheet metal and 1/8" round bar and saved myself about $500 not buying the Peak Dash. Just took a lot of time to get it...

    Aftermarket steering column

It's possible he just disagreed with some part of the process you mentioned, not that you're using GM stuff. Or maybe he just didn't agree that it pertained to the original question in this thread. All my wiring and connectors are more GM than Mopar because it just worked better. Yeah I said it...

IDIDIT shorty column with a bearing at the firewall. DD steering shafts all the way out. Easy peasy.

I fabricated it using 22 gauge sheet metal and 1/8" rolled bar around the periphery. There's not an insert available for the pre '70 cars that I know of unless you want to pay an outrageous amount of money for one the peak dashes. I've got about $30 into making this one.

    painting my interior

That's weird isn't it? Dash painted the same color as everything else doesn't look right for some reason. You'd think everything the same color would look more proper but it really doesn't to me. I couldn't handle any more gloss in front of me with the setup I have. The polished steering...

    painting my interior

Remember, shiny reflects sunlight. Yes shiny may look nice, but think about glare from the sun when you drive. I've seen both but I prefer a flatter surface. John Deere Blitz Black is what I used. I used it in several areas of the car including the grill.

    '69 Dart rear package tray

Mine didn't have any. But there are a lot of things not right with the car either when I took it apart. Yes mine was that simple. Just pulled right out no clips or anything. Again, that was my car. There may have supposed to have beenclips there but there weren't.

Remove the rear seat and it should come right out. You're talking about the cardboard piece right?

    Grant horn button help!

Yes I'm completely relieved now that's all it was. I sent them a nice little email telling them how poor their instructions are in their kits and how poor their "tech service" was.

    Grant horn button help!

Unbelievable. I finally figured out what I needed to do. It was so simple. I feel a bit like an idiot but at least it's fixed. I have no idea why Grant did not tell me this! http://youtu.be/L9KEkSZvNqY

    Grant horn button help!

I have the grant 3 to 5 bolt adapter, grant wheel, and a grant horn button . What I'm trying to find is the guts to the horn button. Grant tells me it's one thing (which is wrong) and then turn around and tell me that I need to take it to a machine shop and do all this custom work which is...

    Grant horn button help!

You don't happen to have a part number on that would you? This guy at Grant didn't know his a$$ from his head and I keep having to argue the part numbers they say will work. I'm getting fed up with them and am to the point of yelling through the phone. If you knew me you'd know that I am very...

    Grant horn button help!

That looks EXACTLY like the button I have! But why isn't there a place for a snap ring on mine and why doesn't it have any terminals? That's my question. I wonder if they forgot to machine a groove in the trim ring and forgot to put the rest of the parts in my kit.

    Grant horn button help!

Mine is the opposite. It comes in from the back side and can't come outward. But it can fall inward since nothing holds it.

    Grant horn button help!

Excellent job on the pics! You have went above and beyond to help out. After seeing that, it looks like what I'm missing is the contact piece under the horn button. Now if I can just figure out where to get it. I still don't understand how it will stay in place and yet keep the button from...

    Grant horn button help!

Yes the 3196 kit is definitely wrong. I do have the 5 allen bolts for the wheel. 1: I'll check again but pretty sure it's only double sided tape. I felt no contacts under the film. 2: There is NOTHING to hold the horn button in place. There's no groove in the outside ring for a...

    Grant horn button help!

Ok but this is all GM parts. The IDIDIT column is 100% GM style, as well as the column wiring. All the wiring in my car is new and not Mopar. Everything works perfect. Turn signals, cancelling, flashers, horn, etc. I'm just missing some critical parts to make the horn button stay in place...

    Grant horn button help!

Yes everything you see in the video are ALL GRANT PRODUCTS. That's why I showed the boxes that all the parts came in with their respective part number. 5196-1 billet adapter, 5870 billet horn button kit, 3196 horn kit (which is wrong but they claim it's right). The only part that isn't a...

    Grant horn button help!

I just called them back and they keep telling me that's the kit I need. I, as politely as I could, told them that they were wrong. Then they tell me that I have to take it to a custom shop to have a custom horn made. WTF GRANT! It's YOUR adapter, YOUR steering wheel, YOUR horn button and...

    Grant horn button help!

Now that looks way more like what I should have got. Although I only have 1 wire and I see 2 on that horn. I'm going to call Grant back and chew some a$$. Something that should be so simple has got me so damned irritated.

    Grant horn button help!

Could someone here please enlighten me. I made a quick video to hopefully make it easier to see what's going on but I cannot figure out how to make the horn button work on this Grant wheel. Nothing seems to fit and parts seem to be missing. http://youtu.be/kmvQYmypzCA
