    67 barracuda dash refinishing?

GCAR did mine, and the glovebox trim and A pillar mouldings, which are chromed in 1967 convertibles. He also polished the lenses and included new red and green lenses. There was quite a waiting list, but very hood communication along the way.

Replacing Instrument Cluster bulbs with LEDs - Illumination Detail Question - 67 Barracuda

I’ve been playing with LED’s and home lighting for the past couple years. Seems I am now the go to guy in my area when someone wants them, probably just for a lack of any competition.

    Bucket seat tracks

Yep. Did you look at the car when it was for sale? I don’t remember exactly which town I night it in. Somewhere within a couple hours of my house.

    Bucket seat tracks

Yes, they’re very hard to find. It’s a 67 only piece, and it was discontinued very early on. As rare as the wheel itself is, the horn center is very hard to find, especially with the Plymouth emblem. Funny story tho…..I drove a couple hours to buy this car for $750. It was almost picked clean...

What is the correct color for 67-68 lower door vents

I have about a dozen sets of the door vents. They came in all colors, to match the interior color of the car. I don’t think I have any red ones tho.

    66 4 spd Console in a 65 Barracuda

The 66 buckets are narrower, and the tracks are different from a 64/65 bucket seat, you will probably have to redrill the inner bolt holes for the tracks, and maybe move the floor brace to accomodate that.

    Bucket seat tracks

Yep, they’re metal, and they have a vinyl coating on them.

    Bucket seat tracks

Correct. The 68/69 seats have a few differences that the 67’s don’t have. The buns are thicker, they have a Masonite like back cover that is covered in the vinyl seat material, unlike the 67 seats which have a metal back cover with stainless trim, and lower metal seat trim with a stainless trim...

68 vs 69 Barracuda Seat Interchange Question.

67-69 seats all interchange, they have the same floor and seat tracks. However, the 67 seat is completely different, having a hard back and metal trim around the bottom. They all will fit tho.

    Glovebox variances.

Redfish has it right, in 67 the glovebox door was on a spring hinge and didn’t have a lock. Neither did the seat backs of the front seat. In 68, new safety standards were put into place, and in this case the glovebox door was mandated to lock to keep **** from flying out in case of an accident...

64 Valiant 2 Door Sedan Carpet Questions

If you’re going to use adhesive, get the 3M carpet and headliner adhesive in the spray can. It’s glorified contact cement in a spray can. I would consider using it up in the toe area. I just finished 2 carpet installs, I used a carpet knife to cut, the kind with the double sided blade. It cuts...

    Sill plate installation

Well, you can line up the sill top holes if you have them, then drill your holes front and back. All of those holes are just drilled into the rocker sill top.

    Sill plate installation

It’s just a drilled hole in the top of the rocker metal. You’ll see it if you just peel back that carpet a little. Put an awl through the carpet into the hole and chase it in with a soldering iron.

Are rear seats interchangable on all A-bodies?

no way! Try fitting an early A body seat in there, not even close. Then there’s the fold down seat from 64-66 Cudas, convertibles are different in both the upper and lower. Stuck with the make and model you have, and get as close to the year you have.

    Carpet install help

Yes and yes. The carpet goes under the trim a bit, and also under the hinge, that helps keep them in place. On the side panels, they used contact cement, which you can use the 3M spray on adhesive. Spray it on both the panel and the back of the carpet, wait a few minutes for it to tack up, then...

    Rallye Dash restoration recommendations

Here is my guage bezel as redone by GCAR. It was $495 plus the shipping both ways, but that included polishing the lenses and new red and green lenses. I also had my A pillars rechromed by them and the glovebox bezel. Total price with shipping both ways and all of the items done was $700, which...
