I bought a pair of 6 ton that style from NAPA and there was so little engagement I took them back and bought the ones pictured in above post.

I have a few of those. When I saw how little engagement the pawl went into the teeth on jackstand, I quit using them and bought some good stands made in USA. Somewhat pricey but it's me under the car and I'm worth it. Bought them from NAPA. I am going to recycle them for the weight. (Chinese ones).
