    Rarest A-body on Fabo?

I'll also have to say the 1966 D/Darts. This is the first of the 50 D/Darts produced. It was picked up at the assembly plant by Ted Spehar. I know of 11 survivors.

1966 Dodge D/Dart ~ 'Mystery, Myth and Misconception'

Ulf, Not arguing the 00235 being the S/O number. Of the cars that I know of, 11, they run is sequence along with the VIN numbers. Phillip's car with the 00235 S/O number is way out of sequence along with the build date 4-17 vs 4-27. His S/O number should be 41771163. I think this body was...

Jim, Can you send me Greg's contact info on Facebook Messenger? I'm on that all the time. Very seldom get over here on FABO. I have no cars going to Mount Vernon Dodge but one going to T&C Dodge. Isn't Mount Vernon Dodge near Town & Country Dodge in WA? Alan Hvizdos

    Mopar 360 380hp crate...whos running them ?

I currently own 2 of the D/Darts that Dodge built to compete in the D/Stock class in 1966. One was campaigned by Ted Spehar and Ralph Costa. It still has the original engine in it and the 5.30 gears that they used back then. It ran a best of 12.95 at 105. My other D/Dart has the 360-380...

Anyone have a list of Plymouth dealers….

Just looked at my list. I have 65 dealers listed in Maryland and 4 in DC. Need a little more info. If you have the certicard, it might have the 5 digit dealer number on it. Also, did you look for a build sheet in your car. Might find one taped to the top of the glove box or under the front...

Anyone have a list of Plymouth dealers….

Does the owners card have a 5 digit number on it? That could be the dealership number. There were quite a few dealerships in and around the DC area. Chrysler Corp had an office in Bowie back in the 80's. That's about all I could come up with.

What is your car's rarest option?

Kim, Could you give me any info on this car? What dealership did it come from? The last 3 of the vin would help. Trying to match the 50 vins with owners.

If you could order any A-Body new? What if question.

I'd go with a D/Dart. Just to see what the window sticker looks like.

What is your car's rarest option?

On my Dart, a 3778 Holley carb, unsilenced air cleaner, aluminum carb adapter plate, manual choke cable, Doug's headers, and 4.86 gears.

1964 H/SA "ManHunt" Dart driven by Karen Schultz

1964 H/SA "ManHunt" Dart driven by Karen Schultz

My mistake. Just looked at one of Pauls old threads, the MYTH one, for class information. Looks like the D/Darts were H/S at the AHRA tracks. The "O" is option and it should be followed by a number. It shows up good on the side of the San Leandro Dodge.

1964 H/SA "ManHunt" Dart driven by Karen Schultz

Alan, I know that cars and classes changed every year. And they were different between each sanctioning body. I think a few of your pictures of the Schultz's D/Dart show it with H/S on the side glass. Since the car wasn't very competitive as designed, I wonder if Wayne changed engines in the...

1964 H/SA "ManHunt" Dart driven by Karen Schultz

Back in 1965 when this national event took place, Karen Schultz ran a 15.49 in the H/SA class. Not having all the info on this class, I'd guess they ran 15.10 to 15.50 and around 90 mph.

1964 H/SA "ManHunt" Dart driven by Karen Schultz

In 1966, Wayne campaigned a D/Dart in the Cleveland area. It was sponsored by Porach Dodge. Here's a picture of it taken as they were preping it for the 66 season. It still has all the stickers on the windows. The car was raced mainly at Dragway 42 in Ohio. --- From Wayne Schultz Collection...

    A Good Day Turned Bad

I had the same thing happen to my 66 Dart. Was pouring some ethanol free gas in it from a gas can and some ran down the side. Same "aw ****" thing moment happened to me. The paint was single stage lacquer from the late 90's.

1965 Barracuda 'The Politician' ~ Ralph Costa

I would suggest starting a discussion on this in the General Forum. If it's an early a-body, maybe in that forum. More people will see it there. Include the year, model and the area the car may have raced.

    Rebuild or replace?

I have a 275+ hp 273 in one D/Dart with 5.30 gears in it. Totally not streetable. In my other one is a 360 - 380 hp Mopar crate engine from 1999. Those actually put out closer to 400 hp. I'd go this route. It has a slightly higher lift roller cam in it and it runs and idles smoother.

1966 Dodge D/Dart ~ 'Mystery, Myth and Misconception'

Not sure if any were shipped to Canada. It would be cool to find it. Chrysler did make 50 for US distribution. I have info on 45 of the cars. At least what dealerships were supposed to get them and shipping dates. Damn......I miss Paul.

Anyone here ever worked at a Chrysler plant ?

I worked at Warren Stamping, Warren Truck Plant, Chrysler Engineering in Highland Park, and Chrysler Tech Center in Auburn Hills --- from Aug of 1972 thru Dec 2002. I also did new production launches at both the St. Louis and Windsor Assembly plants for the minivan.
