My 64 valiant wagon has a later engine, it’s dipstick looks like it’s been cut maybe? I compared it to the one in my 73 dart and the valiant one is much shorter. Both blocks have the same casting number and both have 5 freeze plugs. Does anyone have a correct one for sale?

so i think i might order the choke conversion, i do not see a way to adjust the choke spring and it closes pretty hard. the link you posted shows a different part for 73 and up. mine is a 73 but the stoke looks the same as on my 72? is the 1231 correct for my application? also the u shaped link...

thanx guys, i got it tuned up yesterday. seems to be running really good now. still blows carbon while warming up but once warm all is good.

i bought some NGK zfr5n plugs for my slant 6 and when i went to install them i noticed they are 5/8 size and the tip is much longer than the autolight 66's that came out. just wanting to double check before i finish my tune up that these are the correct plugs you guy are running in a 73 slant? the car in the video is running the clifford pacage. i am not sure the pacage is still available? Clifford is in temecula and still make the parts. if you post the vid on slant6.org you will probably find the owner of the car to tell you what exactly he is running. But the intake and headers...

thosse 1 bbl carbs are famous for going bad. mine would leak the fuel from the bowl into the crankcase if it sat for more than a day. found a new ont(not rebuilt) and did a good tune when changeing carb. all is good.

i have had simmilar wierd intermitten problems with the mp ei conversion. sometime ago the orange boxes started be'ing crap. imo. maybee try a napa box? i went back to points myself. sorry for poor spelling. lol also def clean fuel system again

i just scored a set of /6 headers. they say clifford 550592, written in sharpie on the collector. there is also a price tag that says 550592. they are long tube headers. has anyone ever used theese? does anyone know their application? i will post pix later today. thanx in advance for any help.
