no as long as your using stock wiring If your using something like an Evans wiring harness I think they update to 2 wire don't quote me on that though I have a 67 belvedere and is 1 wire alternator with an electronic voltage regulator I run the chrome box

Never tried that when ever I switched ignitions I changed voltage regulator, electronic VR's are reasonably priced and look stock

Did you switch voltage regulator to electronic one points are different

Mike any flow #'s with Stage VI's seems there is not alot of info and do you have any flow data on them.

A Edelbrock 440 RPM intake and a 750 or 850 carb will work fine.
