    should be the same as my 70 if its a 112 wheelbase, I went from a /6/904/ 7 1/4 to a 360/904/ 8 3/4 and wound up with 52 1/2 after careful measurement which is only a 1/4 inch off of what 65dartman said the book gives

    no... 3 1/2 of yoke inside as measured from the very edge, mark the yoke 3 1/2 up from the end that slides in the tranny and make the mark even with the very edge of the case...If you want the Mopar reference guide number and exact wording let me know

    If I remember correctly the 904's up to 72 had 23 splines on input shaft and 72 on had 24, there may be other differences, truck may have long tailshaft

    I JUSt researched this,,,put the yoke in the tranny, slide it out till the center ff the u joint cap is 3 1/2 inches from the rear of the tailshaft housing, then measure from the center of the front cap to the center of the rear cap.
