standard 2 field wires off my 70 dart that uses the 2 wire regulator in other words is the alternator exciter wire coming from the ignition supposed to be always in the ON position or is the exciter wire charged only momentary when the key is turned to start at the voltage regulator does it...

can i wire it to either wire on the voltage regulator and...is it wired on the start circuit or is it wired from the ON position, I have a wiring diagram but I can't read it cause I cant find my friggin glasses LOL

Im totally rewiring my car doing my own thing. To avoid relays I am running much larger gauge wire and than necessary and just using an inline fuse for each component. Is there a problem with this??
