Never mind... I guess I have it figured out. I didn't know because I believe it was the original thermostat and couldn't tell how it went on because the gasket was soooo worn.

I am installing a new thermostat in my 75 /6 Duster. One quick question.... is the thermostat locked into place by the gasket (insert thermostat, then gasket, then outside piece and tubing) or loose from gasket ( place gasket, insert thermostat, ect... ect..) Need a quick response so I can...

Yeah I do drive quite a bit... its hard not to in this beautiful state! What exactly is a cleanable filter and dry gas? how hard is it to pull the tank and clean it? Is it something I could do in my driveway or something that should be done in a shop? Waggin you are my car connoisseur!

Everything is good and tight, slight ticking... but its from the one rocker going left to right... doesn't look like a problem though!!! My only concern is now... I smell gas ALL the time, even when it is parked for a good 20min... There is even some slightly blue/white smoke when I first start...

Sorry for the delay!!! I received them and will be working on getting all of them back in order in a couple days. Thank you again sooooo much!!! Oh and Fella's I have been smelling gas from my car.... I know the carb is no bueno (no good)... or needs messed with or fixed... but I need more...

Thanks for the response! Sorry to sound so DUH about all of this but I want to learn and be able to do everything right and by myself... So,I have located the port caps and get those today... with that I just remove all of the old hoses and screws and replace... is that correct? I defiantly...

Locktite is still working like a charm... but the replacement has arrived... and will be placed on this weekend probably... One more thing though... one of the rockers is moving side to side on the bar. <----/----> as well as the usual up and down.... is this okay???

I voted Orange!!! I think it just makes the engine POP just perfect... not too dark like the black and red and not bland like the blue... I say ORANGE!!!!

So I started her up again today after perfect driving all night... and there it was again the ticking... so I opened up the valve cover and look what I found..... This is the same one that was off the first time it happened. It is the #6 exhaust... the bolt that holds the rod keeps coming...

Okay it is still rough at idle... but smooths out now. Sounds a whole lot better too. Please keep leaving messages if you can think of anything else.. but for now Im off to the game... PLAY BALL!!!!!

its the worse at idle. you can still feel it while driving though.

Okay I got it running and it stays running (Thanks to all of you)!!!! But the idle is rough... shaking the car quite a bit. Took it for a drive and all seems fine except for the roughness... any ideas??? The game starts in an hour... so PLEASE HELP!!!

Each individual valve will be adjusted when it's closed. This gives room for expansion and such to keep from bending things. When the valves are down there is no gap at all right now... When each individual valve is closed is it up or down? Thanks so much FABO friends your amazing!!!!

Where is the balancer bolt located? Its kinda hard to stop the engine where you want it. And I just want to clarify... Adjust exhaust when closed and intake when open?

I went out and bought a feeler gauge so how do i measure? I have the .010 out, am I supposed to fit it underneath the rockers and tighten till it lays right on top of the gauge? It seems like I would have to tighten all of them too much to get it be down on the gauge. Also removed all the spark...
