    It's gonna work a heck of alot better than that tiny 600. I had a Holley 3310 (750 Vac secondary) on the old 400 that was in my Barracuda.A Very high mile 400. with .474 MP cam, same convertor and gear as you. It worked great, 13.7 @97 mph.This is a pic of the 400 here .....

    Edelbrock performer not performing

    Sounds like maybe a vacuum (spelling?) leak somewhere ? Are all the extra holes still plugged up in the carb, did you use a new gasket when you put the carb back on ? That would be where i would start looking. My secret as to why a stock 383 runs so good, and the larger valves!

    Which Carb Type?

    Wow , quite a range of opinions here. I have a vac seconday 750 Holley on my old 400 in my Barracuda and I love it. Would not trade it for anything but another Holley. Just my opinion :salut:
