It sounds like the ECU isn't getting power while cranking and that's why it won't stay running until you switch the key back to on. Check to make sure it's staying powered up during cranking and then go from there is what I'd do. -Jon

Here's mine. You can fit a short air cleaner under the stock hood. If you're using a carb you should have more room. -Jon

You can just make a plate the same shape as the EGR gasket and bolt it down in place of the EGR valve, or if you get in a hurry like I did just weld the tube up that's coming out of the EGR valve and leave the valve on the intake. -Jon

I filled in the low spots with the pieces of the Magnum pan. Do you mean fill them in with RTV, or some type of sealant? -Jon

The motor is assembled, but hasn't been run yet. I used a fel-pro gasket set with RTV around the front and rear of the stock one piece Magnum pan gasket. I'm not sure what you mean about just filling in the low spots of the pan? -Jon
