I had the same problem, I broke mine pulling it out. :-x I did notice that it was hanging up on the cluster lights and the voltage regulator. Try pulling those out first. TO drop the collumn any more, you will have to remove it completely.

I used ACC in my Dakotas in the past, I hated them, they fit horrible and colors were off. They were also very thin, did not lay right and wrinkled. :sad: I have seen the year one carpets, they are awesome, I will gladly pay the extra $30. :thumbup:

if it is vacuum plated, soak it in bleach for a few days.

If its vaccum plated plastic, then soak it in bleach.

3M makes a plastic polish that is fantastic, sometimes called helmet polish. If you can't find it at a auto parts store, then try a motorcycle shop. This is the stuff pros use. It was recommended to me by a body shop owner.
