    Rear axle swap (7 1/4 to 8 3/4) - driveshaft?

Thank you all for your advice! I think it sounds wise to just get the car put back together and measure the old driveshaft in place, against the new rear end yoke. I wouldn’t want to take the risk of something not being stock that I can’t see, and paying the price literally. Measure twice cut...

    Rear axle swap (7 1/4 to 8 3/4) - driveshaft?

Howdy! Just yanked the stock 7 1/4” from my 65 Barracuda and am transplanting an A body 8 3/4”. Behind the (mostly) stock Slant 6/904. Q1: how much does the driveshaft need to be shortened? Very cool. I will make sure it's off when we do the swap! The 12MPG is killing me so the low stall and activating the OD should help a lot.

    46rh/a518 Torque Convertor: Balance weight?

Good morning gentlemen, quick question. I have a 360 in. (bored .060) SBM in my 51. The crank was internally balanced by the prior owner (a FABO guy!) so I have a zero balance front harmonic damper. I have an A518/46RH transmission behind it with a performance high stall converter. I am...
