    Redding Dragstrip

Anyone racing there this Friday night or Saturday? If so...stop by and introduce yourself...will be there with my camera gear....I am going to CA for a quick camera class. My loving wife asked me if I looked for a dragstrip in the area...I emailed them earlier and was told that I am welcome...

    Rain?

Just wondering if there is a written NHRA rule about a racer backing out of the tree due to rain? Was at the ET Finals in Seattle. Overheard one racer talking about it raining, to the point that the track was wet, at the top end of the track. He managed to stop without incident. Sadly another...

    Sprung weight vs unsprung weight.

This was my next question. I remember reading about this in a chassis book a long time ago. Next part of this question...is unsprung weight seen the same as sprung weight? Perhaps that is not the best way to put it. In the book I was reading the author was emphasizing how losing 10 pounds of...

    Sprung weight vs unsprung weight.

Correct me if I am wrong....in order for weight to be unsprung it needs to be below the suspension? Have more questions but want to see if I am right with this thought......

    V-nose or flat faced....

Not yet. Still haven't called the number you gave me. Initially I was going to run down there mid September. Was hoping that the pain clinic was going to get me in right away. Told me my cervical shots I need to be sedated. Nurse they have on staff is out with family troubles so no shots until...

    V-nose or flat faced....

If I offended anyone I do apologize. I'm not looking for anything but an empty box to haul my car, nothing more. Not saying it is going to stay that way.

    V-nose or flat faced....

$8900 is low cost? I get what you are saying about making additions easier. Only things I would probably add is a simple bench in the V and put my generator and portable compressor in it.

    V-nose or flat faced....

Thanks Roy. I still haven't called him...after seeing his feedback....I have this gremlin riding on my shoulder...I will be the guy who he absolutely screws with lol.... When I spoke with the company that I posted the Ebay link to earlier today I asked about a website. She explained to me that...

    V-nose or flat faced....

Guy claimed it was for hauling cars. It was a event looking trailer. Didn't like the side door, could only be opened from the outside. Down the road we may use it for sleeping when what work on the house. Didn't like the fact that it only had a ingle strip of luann (spelling?) down the center of...

    V-nose or flat faced....

The 4 d rings came with it. Was radial tires instead of belted, different wheels, a second roof vent and a few other things that made me roll my eyes at the guy. Trailer didn't even have an rv style door, it had a pipe latch type of thing. Was not very thrilled by it. Guy I spoke with reminded...

    V-nose or flat faced....

Stopped by a local trailer dealer. Mirage XCEL trailer. Asked about a v-nose he claimed it wasn't available so it would have to be a flat nose. Base price of it was $7800. Claimed I "needed" the car carrier package which tacked on $700. Of course the trailer has a seamed roof and even with the...

    V-nose or flat faced....

Looks like I will be making the trip to Georgia. Called a local dealer or two, no v-nose available, no extended tongue available with a v-nose. Both told me that as long as I would sign an affidavit stating that the trailer will not be used here in Washington I will not have to pay tax. Both of...

Thanks for the input. Will the existing rubber bushings suffice?

    SS springs & sliders...

Our Dart has relocated springs. Guessing that getting them placed so the springs don't run out of travel in the slider is pretty critical?

All I want is a rule book.....

It was indeed the complete 2017 book. We only have a 1.5mbps download package. CenturyLink is our ISP, have complained to them that we rarely see .15mbps, which makes searching for things very challenging to say the least. There network is so overloaded it crashes frequently, especially at...

All I want is a rule book.....

.uck me...Stopped by a local retailer that used to sell the NHRA rule book. "Sorry, Boss didn't get any this year." Unless I am missing something the only way to buy a rulebook from NHRA is to be a member? $69 to become a member just so I can get an effing rule book?

Based upon a couple of threads floating around here I would be very skeptical of them. I was hanging around a local guy that struggled with them. His car ended up in England, last I heard the only way he was consistent was leaving at idle...that being said it sounds like Caltrac working, or not...

Purely hypothetical here...perhaps...Apologies for the length... Let's say someone were to build a turbo car. Will see very limited, if any street duty. Car will have a Holley Dominator EFI controlling the motor. ECU would also be controlling the boost control. Right now the car has SS springs...
