Wheel studs and spacers with Bullitt rims

Oh so you probably have the wheels for one of the newer model mustangs. Didn’t realize you had wheels already.

Wheel studs and spacers with Bullitt rims

I’ve run the bull it rims on my duster from American muscle since 2009. In fact I’m ready to change it up again. I have no spacer on the front with the 5.72 bs whees. The rear I’ve run a few different setups. I had the stock 8-1/4 with an adapter/spacer. Then I went to a b body 8-3/4 which I...

Anyone carry a "temporary use spare" in their car?

No kidding, I have 2 of the jeep xj donuts in the well of my duster. I think they stick up higher than the floor. I don't have the tire cover or mat anyway. If you did I think you could just make a spacer out of rigid foam to make the floor level with the tire. I measured this donuts yesterday...

Anyone carry a "temporary use spare" in their car?

I have a couple donuts from xj jeep cherokees. When I took my duster on power tour I carried 2 of them with me.

Black steelies and drag radial look?

Well that kind of sucks. I am in a similar situation. Years ago when I first built my 69 dart we narrowed a Dana for it. I thought we made it same width as the original 7 1/4 and have always run police wheels. I wanted to change the look, and go to a 15x8 with offset hangers and found that none...

    Opinions on the Nitto NT555R

I like the nittos. I have the other nitto dr on my duster. nt05? 275 40 17. right now I'm putting a wider tire on and this time I just went with the 555. I think the drag radials are awesome. if you drive like a nut in the rain yeah they will get slippery. but ive driven a lot on them, and...

Black steelies and drag radial look?

I could only dream of owning a car as cool as yours one day. For now I will just have to make due with aluminum skinnies and steelies on my mopar.

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Well, as for the 255s they are 10 mm wider than the 245. I can tell you the 275 on an 8" rim is 1" wider than the 245. I'm sure it would be better on a 9" rim, but it does work and it doesn't look as wrong as you might think.

I have 245s and 275s on 8" rims on my duster I think the 275 looks good. Works good too.

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

with the bullit rims I had my buddy turn the rotor down to fit the rim. I was hoping to run a set of the ARengineering center caps but he couldn't be bothered trying to help me figure out if they would fit a stock rotor or not. im still running no caps.

Yeah I really don't see that being an issue. If you are doing wheels up launches, you probably don't need 17" wheels.

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Yeah the tie rod clearance could be nice, but for myself I don't think I'll ever run wider than the 245s on the front. When I decided to go to a wider rear tire, I was a little bummed out with the tire hooves in a 17. I wanted a big fat radial. I wound up going with a 315 but on the duster it...

I think the 17 is a good size. Old cars start looking kind of funky with anything bigger.

No it's tight, but it works fine. Almost 10,000 miles on it. I was driving it a lot for a while but stopped.

I am running the stock width 8.8 with 5.72 bs 8" wheels.

Nah no pics. I also ran the a body 8 1/4 with 1" spacers, b body 8 3/4, before the 8.8.I kind of wish I kept the 8 3/4. I bought some wider tires and rims and am now thinking of building a dana.

Are you trying to run a stock width housing or are you going to narrow something to work?

    front skinny for the street?

Do the 165s lock up and skid easy with such a small footprint?

    front skinny for the street?

Brian that is that pic with the 195s? For some reason it looks a lot wider than the 185s I have now.

    front skinny for the street?

what is everyone running? tire size and wheel size? is a 4" rim too narrow for the street? I have 15x5" steel wheels on my dart now and I want to go to something else. the wheels im looking at, come in 4", 4 1/2", and 6"

    radir wheels

they are nice wheels. ive been thinking of the rocket racing wheel that looks similar to them. I cant swing the cost of the radirs.

Tuff to say if it would work on a dart but the 275s have never rubbed on my duster. I'm thinking they are 8s I bought them as a package with 245s I later bought another pair and put the 275 drag radials on them.

Been a long time since I messed with this stuff. I forget. They are American muscle with 5.72 bs. Do they have 9s with 5.72 bs? Pretty sure they are just 8s.
