Yes Bill's wife Diane drove the car in the 360 form. No the super bee was a factory 4 speed. The Cuda originally was a 4 speed as well,later converted to an auto. The super bee was red.

So I have talked about my neighbor on here before. He was a super stock racer from way back. These were 2 of his cars . a 69 1/2 440 6 pack Super Bee he bought when it had 600 miles on it and raced for years. Another friend boght the car and owned it for many years and sold just a few years ago...

The funny thing about all comparisons. They are subjective. My neighbor was a super stock racer. He had a 69 1/2 6 pack 4 speed he raced . Then a 70 hemi 4 speed cuda. Later he changed the cuda to look like a 74 because 360 motors were cheaper then hemis. Whenever I want to hear racing stories...

I know my dad ran 13.9 in my parents 70 383 auto with 3.23 gears. I know he put headers and a holley 750 on it. I can't remember if he changed the intake ? It had different tires as well, but not slicks.

All I know is both are fun ! They both wind and both have less torgue then the bigger cube motors. Gears and tuning always make the difference. I have both a 383 in my clone runner and a 340 in my Cuda. Once I get the new 383 in my road runner I'll compare. Cuda is a 4 speed has 292 cam and...

I just heard that Super Stock racer Dave Wren passed away. He was very close to my neighbor another old time super stock racer. I'm not sure what will happen to all of his cars ? I know he has a real 68 hemi barracuda still plus I think almost like 100 cars. He was living in north western wa.
