    Hood clearance Question

I'd also consider the three-nipple fuel filter as suggested in Mopar Action https://www.moparaction.com/2016/03/16/vaporware/ This allows fuel to cycle back to the tank, so the fuel remains constantly cycled with cool fuel from the tank. People forget that fuel filters can percolate fuel too.

    Hood clearance Question

With the air gap, I'd consider running a fresh air line from the core support to the area under the carb, if I was that worried about it, but any heat soak issues you have are going to occur at slow speed anyway, where a spacer is of limited value in your configuration anyway. If fuel boil-off...

What do you think about this statement.........

Consider how many valves are open at a time. The shaft bolts aren't really seeing any more load at any given time. More frequently, yes, but total load, about the same. Magnums are low tension rings. Between that and EFI (reduced fuel wash) a Magnum pulls compression numbers at 300K that an LA...

Attempt at test running a Magnum

Agreed, and precisely why later control modules use redundant sensors, current draw to o2 heaters, etc, to verify sensor data. If I'm not mistaken, the intake air temp sensor on the magnum was supposed to be the redundant sensor, but who knows what the variance set as 'tolerable' was. And on my...

Attempt at test running a Magnum

I'm not sure, but I think there's two. One for the gauges, and one for the computer, but my truck NEVER threw a CEL even though the two didn't jive. I could be wrong on this, but I seem to remember having to guess at which one it was and I got lucky.

Attempt at test running a Magnum

Bad coolant temp sensor can make em run ridiculous rich. My '93 would run great and as soon as you shut it off and tried to restart, it was flooded and belching raw fuel out the exhaust. The coolant temp sensor was showing 17 degrees in the computer on a 70 degree day, even though the gage in...

    94 5.2L Magnum running rough

My '94 Ram did that. Coolant temp sensor (there are two) was reading 14 degrees when it was 70 out, at first startup. The closed-loop kept the symptoms at bay until it was warmed up, driven, and open-looped itself into drowning in fuel. (I think it used one coolant sensor for the closed loop...

Looking for some advice on a 360 magnum swap

It is sad but true that the Hemi has double the production run of the Magnum, and isn't two decades old now. When I swapped my Magnum, the Hemi was still pretty new

Looking for some advice on a 360 magnum swap

Dorman makes the ac delete pulley. Be aware, the eq heads of today kinda suck compared to the old ones

Looking for some advice on a 360 magnum swap

If it runs, drop it in. I like the serpentine belt. Get the b van power steering bracket and the idler to toss the AC and you're set. You'll need a magnum compatible intake for that carb.

360 magnum swap in 68 barracuda

Dude, I looked for a YEAR to find one. So, you have four of the five Chrysler ever made and I have one lol And Bob is right, the alternator doesn't move, the pulley does. Sorry, it's been a few years since I swapped mine. You'd think they would have taken that into consideration when building...

360 magnum swap in 68 barracuda

It's easy to keep the Magnum serpentine setup too. I just grabbed a power steering bracket from a van and ran it with the van belt. The van setup moves the power steering pump below the factory battery tray. If you're not running AC, Dorman makes an idler pulley that takes the place of the AC...

    RIP 340 Onto Magnum swap

Wrong. Multiport is what you need. I'd put multiport EFI on my Tesla if I could. Please note, the gentleman above (not me) did provide the correct part for that application, completely by accident. Just make sure to verify that you have the correct balance for a 5.9 vs. 360. They're different.

    RIP 340 Onto Magnum swap

I've never looked, but I've come across people stating this several times and never actually seen it work, and a flywheel isn't something I want to work some half-assery on. There are (or at least, used to be) Magnum-EFI-Ready flywheels on the market that were competitively priced. American...

Has anyone here used the Holley EFI pumps?

Loud, or just 'on'? I had a Carter external electric pump with my carb and it was louder than my dry rotted 6x9's could ever hope for.

Has anyone here used the Holley EFI pumps?

I've been eyeing these for several years, and finally and I'm in a position to buy one. Drop in efi pump, with calibrated fuel sending unit. Your thoughts? I'd be using it on a Magnum swap with factory jtec fuel injection. Holley Sniper EFI 12-319 Holley EFI Fuel Tank Modules - 255 LPH -...

Hey why's that coolant temp sensor reading -4 degC when it's 85 degF out? I already had the sensor think that might be the issue so I replaced it...

So I did the key flip for the codes, and zero codes present. Fuel pressure is 40 psi at cranking. Where the hell do I get a scan tool for this thing? I don't see an OBD connector anywhere?

Maybe tps? I think previous owner replaced that Dunno. I thought regulator was in tank I would think that would present drive ability problems? Would it make it run equally rich on all 6? That's plausible but it seems unlikely to hit 6 in a row

Mopar friends, I need your assistance.

Today has been a **** day. This automotive problem has been ongoing, so I am going to use it to distract from my other issues of the day. The vehicle: 1994 ram 3.9 v6, 5 speed. A billion miles. Bone stock except for a gutted cat. This truck runs GREAT until it gets thoroughly warm. Then when...

    /6 to magnum mount options

I used the mounts off my 360 on my '99 magnum, with a V8 k frame. Do all magnums have both the truck and passcar mounts? Yes I searched before posting this. I didn't search this particular topic I'm asking about, but I did find a February '92 copy of Genesis adult reading material for sale...

    Dip stick length

Like he says, but if it's a factory style pan, and you have the magnum tube, get another another magnum stick, like from a van. Don't cut the factory end off. Drain your oil, add FOUR quarts. Don't pull the filter. This is the new 'add oil' level. Drive the pin out of the handle end, cut off...
