Nice, good luck with it, keep us posted. I am picking up my 8.8 on Tuesday, I got a 4.10, limited slip, disc brakes, sway bar and driveshaft, all for $150.

    rear end question

Drivers side tube is longer on the Ford 8.8 in Exploders and Rangers. On a mopar Dana 60 the drivers side tube is also longer. On an 8 3/4, the center housing is just offset so the axles are the same length. You could cut the axles to any length, but they are C-clip axles, unless you use...

    rear end question

Too wide and 93 and older are 4 lug (can convert though) I am not sure of exact measurements without looking them up, but an A-Body is 57 1/8", an Exploder rear is 59 1/2, but shortened to 56 3/4" with two short side axles. Shortening one side does center the pinion, but no clearance issues...

    rear end question

Mopar offset is 1 3/8", Fords Offset is 2-2 1/2" (can't quite remember). But anyways, I just bought a Ford 8.8 from a 99 Explorer Eddie Bower, and it has 4.10 gears, a limited slip, disc brakes, sway bar, 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern and the driveshaft for $150. I am looking, and I think the...

    7 1/4?

I pulled a Full floating Dana 60 out of a 3/4 ton truck (freebee, normally $100-150), then I bought a set of car ends from moser ($85) and axles from DoctorDiff. The diff was already 30 spline. You can also buy ford ends, which allow you to run ford explorer disc brakes on the rear (cheap).

    13's, stock '71 318 short block.

There are a lot of guys doing this on the Dakota website. They are running a stock 5.2L Magnum with a supercharger, they are a lot heavier and running very low 13's.

    7 1/4?

A Dakota rear is about 4" too wide, but maybe a set of mustang wheels may be offset correctly for that to go in your A-Body.

    fuel cells

Its not a regulator, and no it is not an open loop. This set up works fine on street cars and never had any problems, as for racing, I do not know.

    fuel cells

Just put in an inline T before and after the fuel pump. Then hook the two T's together with a line. This will work as a pressure relief eliminating the stress on the fuel pump and making no need for a return line. I have always done that with no problems.
