    340 or 318 turbo

That makes a lot more sense. I think that we both thought the was going to be where the exhaust flows out of.

    340 or 318 turbo

Can't you just turn the exhaust manifold upside down? Or run Ram/Dakota headers on the opposite sides and upside downs so they angle up an forwards? I am not trying to knock you ar your work, it just seems to me to be so many better and easier ways than cutting a manifold like that.

    340 or 318 turbo

You should start a Poll thread and see what comes of it. IMHO, if your going turbo, you might as well go 340, why waste your time on 318 when you have the same motor with a .049" bigger bore. If you did not have the 340 already, then I would say go turbo 318.

    diesel turbos whats the difference!?

I am not a turbo expert, but I would imagine that a diesel turbo winds out at a low RPM because most diesels are not high revving engines.

    force induction or not ?

I had asked myself that question many of times. I have finally decided to build a stout N/A engine and when I get used to it and bored with it, then throw forced induction at it....
