i think you hit the mark on that number with an easy 100 hours. figure if you're starting from square one, you've got at least a day of teardown and a day of prep so there's 16hrs, on the back end you're looking at a day of tying up loose ends, tidying stuff and maybe another day of shakedown...

the single biggest line items are fairly obvious: motor and trans (if needed) but all the little ticky-tacky things add up with the quickness: mounts, fuel tank, pump, regulator, headers, radiator, timing cover, oil filter relocation kit, oil pan and pick up, misc fittings, hoses, wiring...

no shame in that game! I was fortunate enough to have a 69 cuda that was my rolling test lab for quite some time. helped implement changes and designs on my current cars and customer builds. it was delightful having something that I didn't consider precious to beat on when doing work.
