I picked up a 8 1/4 from a 75 dart for my driver dart. I was wondering if the parking brake cables from my 65 dart will work with the rear end? If not what are you doing?

Removed and reinstalled my diff with no problems. No spreader needed.

i wonder how much different 67 and later cables are then what are used in early a body cars? Anyone know?

Thank you. I was lucky to score it off a local classified ads here in Utah for 20 bucks. The frame is strong and the casters are solid. For some reason they put 18 gauge down as the top. So I cut that off and put a 4 by 4 sheet of 3/16 on it. Total into it 100 bucks. Well worth it.

Diff cover showed up. Another piece to the puzzle. Now were is my diff rebuild kit and my new yoke?

I theory all parts were the same parts minus the diff. I would have checked things after but they get to play with cars at the cost of someone else. Sounds super fun. If it breaks they get to fix it again on someone else dollar again.

Making progress on the 8.8. Not the prettiest welds but they be strong. I had to modify a mustang brace kit for my explorer rear end. Next time I will buy a finished axle lol.

both mine came from rock auto. maybe I am missing something. I have not removed mine from the tail shaft but it looks like it has a o-ring end and held in with some keeper.

so i have a 1965 dodge dart with a auto 904 trans. i have 2 different speedo cable but they are not correct. one is threaded on both ends and one has a push lock on it. what cable do i need and where can i get it. thanks.
