    How big of a job is it to change leaf springs??

    It's about an hour job if nothing is stuck and you got air. I had to cut my front spring bolts of with a sawsall because the bolts were fused to the rubber bushing. Do one side at a time and get new parts (there cheep) it goes quick.....

    I agree with Adam, the ladder bars don't cost much and the labor is going to be the same... And on the brakes I just already had the bigger drum parts and pieces. Although I could go with 9" disk conversion :)

    Now the big question! My builder wants to cut down a 9" and put 8-3/4" ends on it. The 9" has alot more ratio's and I can still use all my mopar brake parts. And I have to buy axels anyway. ......Kinda looks like 8-3/4 :)

    Well, I have seen where there is talk about moving the wheel center back for better tire clearance. I don't want to redrill holes any further back on my welded in front spring box. And I don't like the idea of sloting the box to use cal-tracs. And if you use cal-tracs you still have the issue of...

    Ladder bars?

    Does anybody have any opinions on ladder bars vs. anything else??? I’m looking at changing mine from moved in springs to ladder bars. Mainly for better tire placement, tire size and traction. Oh, and also narrowing from stock rear end width for more common rim backspacing.
