    Javelin

Did your son ever think of a built up Mopar 360 like I have, it has about 350HP and 3.55 gears in the rear it is not a slouch and will make you feel the back of your seat.

Cars were longer in 65 so this might make a difference.

''I'm going to fix it up someday'' The resurrection of a '74 Dart Sport......

Oh I know that story too... It was all due to religious beliefs and the name ''Demon''.

Wasn’t sure where to post but here is my mostly complete 74 duster 360

Did that to my 1976 Dart Sport about 15 years ago...essentially the same car. I took out the slant and dropped in a 79 360 out of a Ramcharger, had it rebuilt, shaved the heads to 9 to 1 comp. added an Edelbrock air gap intake, 4 bbl carb and presto...325-350 hp at the crank.

    74 HEMI Dart Sport

Did you know the Dart Sport is the continuation of the Demon. Mine is a 76 which used to be a 225-6 but now houses a 79-360 with 350 HP.

    Swedish 64 DART GT

I have a friend who has a 71 Demon with a blown 340, he is running a 641 blower on it and it develops between 625 and 725 HP depending on which pulley he feels like using.

    Swedish 64 DART GT

A 360 with a few mods and a 4 barrel carb is a great choice but I am partial because that is what I have in my Dart Sport.

1966 Valiant Sedan V8 Swap (Victoria)

After installing sub frame connectors, you will hardly notice a difference but the more you drive the car the more differences you will notice..at least that is the way it was with me. It is nice to have a car that has the rear wheels follow the front wheels and lots of other benefits.

    72 Demon slanty-to-340 Resto

The great old 360 is not a bargain brand it is a sensible brand and the famous 340 is greatly overpriced for what it is.

    72 Demon slanty-to-340 Resto

If money is an object a good ol 360 is much cheaper than a 340 and can be built to whatever you wish and for less cash.

1970 Dart Swinger - Bucket list build

360 is a good choice for the motor.

    Canadian 1971 Duster 340 4-Speed

Only one thing wrong with that pic: a V8 should not be trusted to stop on front drum brakes, discs are much more efficient and safer. Very nice car though.

''I'm going to fix it up someday'' The resurrection of a '74 Dart Sport......

Lots of new goodies I see Dart Sports are too often looked past I find. Looks like everybody rather have a Duster and if like me your car will be called a Duster more than once. Although they are brothers.

    1973 Dart Sport

A 300 plus HP 318 is not an impossible objective, overbore it, 0 deck the block, add a good cam and a 4 barrel with a good intake (like the Edelbrock RPM Air gap) , a dual 2 1/2" exhaust system and you should be in the ball park. You can go fancier by reworking the heads and some more extras but...

    1973 Dart Sport

I ORDERED my Dart Sport in 1976 and still have it...that was 39 years ago. I am the original owner, one of the differences from then to now is the motor. It used to be a /6 but it grew 2 more cylinders. It now is a 360 with 30 over, RPM air gap intake, Eddie carb and a few more mods which give...

pics of my newly installed DODGE emblem

It had bezzels, just took them out and welded bolts where the holes were to hold the lights...no more pitting and that Dart Sport decal is from the 74 model. I like the rear, it`s different. The 76 did not have the chrome panel...maybe as an option.
