I have 265/50-15s on my dart using 8 inch wheels with a 5 inch backspacing. An inch between tire and spring and an inch between tire and fender bead. Spings moved in about 7/8 inch with the offset mounts and hangers.

Looks good but I think you may be in for a surprise though when you do a hard corner. The tire/wheel stays in the same plane as the spring/axle housing all of the time but changes as the body leans on corners/ wavy roads. All depends on the back spacing of the wheel. A 15X7 with 4-1/4" BS will run a 215/60-15 with no problem but if the BS is only 4" then you have problems.... Ask me how I know. If you go 15X8 the max BS you can go is 4-1/2" and a 215/50-15 works fine. A little smaller diameter (23.9 vs 25") but...

Did you check runout after you put the spacers in. You may have a wobbly wheel or 2.....

I actually have a set of billlet steel adapters that convert from 5 on 4 inch to 5 on 4-1/2 inch. They are about 1 inch thick so it will add that inch to the width of the track. Have had this set for years in my garage. If anyone is interested, let me know.
