I had my steering box rebuilt and finally got to putting it back into my 68 Dart GTS. Problem is I can't get the column to go completely down the spline shaft of the steering box. What am I doing wrong?

Well I did call and was going to send the box to them but I had some family issues come up and in the mean time I talked to a guy that takes all his to ADCO here in Houston. He has several Mopsars including a Superbird. So, I took mine down to them and picked it up the next day.

I see that but do they use my original box or just a core they get from someone else? This is a numbers matching car that's all stock with original parts with a few exceptions like brakes and gas tank and I want to keep it that way. Thanks for the replies.

I just got my Dart GTS 340 up and running and I have some problems to work through. One is the steering box leaking from the back where the steering column is attached. I searched for info on rebuilding it but came up a little short. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

So I replaced the old hard leading return hose on my PS and now the gear assembly is leaking where the steering wheel is connected to the shaft. I don't have time to remove and rebuild right now. I know there is a stop leak product out there what is the downside of using this product? Will it...
