I am starting to restore the glove box door. It appears that someone else has tried this. On the metalized plastic, someone has oversprayed some black on it. Does anyone know any way to remove the black from the plastic without harming the plastic itself, thus keeping its shine?

the console is the color of the interior, black would the rinckle paint get the same texture as the console itself?
