    According to the '69 shop manual page 2-12, A Bodies with 10" brakes, and B Bodies, used as taxis or Police cars used the support sleeves. Always keep in mind that manufacturers don't spend a nickel for a part that isn't needed.

    I've had several of those over the years and they were all made just like that. That PN doesn't appear until '68, but it seems, judging from the first two digits, like it could have been put into the system much earlier, and then retro fitted with that extra piece to work on that earlier...

    The inner sleeve fits on the rear bushing on cars with 10" brakes only.

    Whats with this upper control arm???

    All service part UCAs are made that way. the PN. is 21 or 22 something or other, which would indicate they started to use them in the early '60s. I guess it's needed for the earlier app. and isn't, on the later cars. So, rather than make two different styles they just sold the earlier style...
