    Read moparaction.com/discotech. Tech Editor Rick has smaller bore rear wheel cyls. tha reduce the amount of rear brake. And yes, the 108"w.b. cars are worse in this regard than the 111"s.

    In '69 Chrysler redesigned the self adjusters for just that very reason, so, if you replace the adjusters, get them for a '69 or later to eliminate that possibility.

    I have Magnum Force drop spindles and they have a machined area on the back side where the bracket mounting bosses contact the spindle. I've got pin type calipers and brackets and they fit fine. Yours appear to be slider type, so, maybe that's the problem.

    The '68 and earlier adjusters have the potential to over tighten the brakes, They redesigned the adjusters beginning in '69 to prevent this. My guess is, they don't offer the earlier kits anymore because of this possible problem.

    Hello; I'm wondering if, when someone installed the 8 3/4, they retained the 9" backing plates. 9" brakes are 2" wide instead of 1 3/4", which is what a '69 A body with an 8 3/4 rear should have. 10" backing plates are 11" in dia. and have very little offset. I don't know much about 9"...

    The Kelsey Hayes 4 piston caliper bolts directly to the spindle. The later single piston style uses an adapter for mounting.

    Drill & tap the end of a 3/8-24 bolt & screw in a 1/4-28 grease fitting.Screw this into the caliper body just snugging it down. Plug the other hole(s) with bleeder screw(s), attach a hand gun, and pump away. If one moves and the other one doesn't, which it probably will, clean it up, reinstall...
