i pulled these apart and they're needles...looks like a set at each end of the inner(clutch. pedal)shaft.

i've seen needle bearings in some sets...not sure about hi perf.or just a year thing.i have a 73 340 set i'm about to pull apart and i'll post if they're needle bearings or plastic bushings.

other than flex issues mine was a direct bolt~in with stock parts...1971 demon

you can also get a weight that bolts between the crank and flywheel for 30$...fits really nice in the crevase too.thats what were doing on our demon.
