So anybody know the minimum thickness of a slant six flywheel seeings that they don't have the step like V8's? I've got a couple that I want to sell...but I want to make sure there is still life in them for service.

    How hard/whats needed to change.....

That's basically what I did. My car was \6 3 speed on the column also. I ended up buying a rusted up 65 V8 cuda parts car that had a four speed to boot. It was a little easier for me. Don't forget if you go 360 make sure you get a 360 flywheel unless you rebuild the 360. If you rebuild the...

    hard shifting 833

Well, this always seams like a heated discussion on Moparts also. Well my 833 OD tranny in my 81 Dodge shortbed has had ATF for over 6 years and it works fine. Jamie Passon told that he doesn't recommend it at all. So the tranny in my Valiant is from him and it git's 80/90 in it. If I'm...

Help!! What Clutch Should I Run??

I agree, I'm using a 10 in padel clutch without a spring hub. It's going to be harsh. I'm probably going to go centerforce once I start driving this thing. Lee

Help!! What Clutch Should I Run??

I'm running the small stuff now. If I had the scatter shield I would probably just run that and be done with it. Do you want to sell it? Got any pictures of the car? Lee

Help!! What Clutch Should I Run??

Cool, so you are running a newer bellhousing that will take the a bigger clutch and pressure plate than the original early A-body bellhousing(like I am). Are you going to race this car? Lee

    64 four speed shifter boot

Well, I'm pretty sure it take the same boot. My hump is out of a 65 Cuda, but I got pictures of a 64 Cuda with that plate in it. The hump needs a thing up in front of the hole to run the top screw into. Can you see it the pictures. It's a tab that sticks up off the floor board. Lee

    64 four speed shifter boot

It's been on back order since November of last year. They said it usually takes 6 months to get something on a national back order like that, but there not even sure if the people are going to make them anymore. Isn't that a crock of crap. Lee

    64 four speed shifter boot

Brewers has one a lot cheaper than Year One. They want like $170 dollars just for the boot! Brewer has one for $105 or so. I'm getting close to needing one and probably get one from them. I contacted Year One just the other day cause my plate is a little bit ratty looking and mine doesn't...

Hey Jasha, what about Brewer's. Is there clutch fork that they sell with their conversion shorter like the orginal? Lee

    clutch info for 9.5"

I see. With the 10 in. disk it would barely clear the bolts that held the pressure plate to the flywheel. Lee
  24. moparlee

    clutch info for 9.5"

Jim is correct on this. You can't put a 10.5 pressure plate on your flywheel. Lee
  25. moparlee

    clutch info for 9.5"

I'm still running a padal 10 in clutch with a local guy that built me a borg & beck 10 in pressure plate. This is with the little bellhousing and small flywheel. If you going to go with the bigger set by changing to the bigger bellhousing then Brewer's has everthing that you need. Lee
