    I have a Feather Duster hood with the aluminum under bracing on mine right now so i still use the hinges. I have used lift offs before and they are only a pain when you can't find a place to put them or you don't want to scratch the roof of you car, or the wind takes them, or you lean them up...

    70 Dusters had a Plymouth emblem on the left front corner of the hood and Valiant emblems on each front fender. Everything else is stickers. 71 had the metal hood emblem also.

    That's a good question i don't know the answer to. How about if you ditch the springs all together and use a prop-rod off a late model car? Maybe call a fiberglass manufacturer and see what they recommend.
