For those of you guys that do your own front end alignments what tools do you use? I just swapped my car from drum brakes to disks, had to change the spindle, but didn't mess with the A arms. I need to adjust the toe, but wonder how you guys check caster/camber.

Yeah it would have to be removed from the bottom side of the top of the spindle if that method was used to make it work.

I've thought of that, but wanted to see if there was a ball joint that would work before I started going a route that maybe I would have to.

I did message him about 10 minutes before I made this post. I'm curious to see his response as his adapters fit like they should. Don't know if I could replace the upper ball joint (It's still good, but could be original for all I know) and the now have a slightly longer stud or not.

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up checking the toe and it was right on, so I adjusted the tie rods 1 turn each and now the wheel is within 1/2" of center. Still drives good. When I get more time I'll fine tune it the last little bit to get it where it should be but its WAY better than it...

Was it as simple as adjusting the tie rod ends or is it more involved than that?

The car still retains it factory steering shaft and steering wheel. I'm 99.9% sure it's spline so it only went on one way, because I took a mental note for when I reassembled it, but that's be a while and I can't remember for certain. Guess I'll just have the front end aligned.
