    440source rockers now available

Looks like a nice option for a mild build than having to source original parts that are worn out and over priced.

    Header bolts or studs?

I use studs where I can, as long as I can get the header on and off without having to remove the stud, in those locations I use bolts.

Can't get Pro Parts headers to fit.

Like the others have said that still part on the inner fender. Look on the underside of the inner fender you will see the shock tower mount is beefy, not just a piece of sheet metal. I have no experience with Pro Part headers, but do double check your engine placement as well.

    Leaky valve cover follow up.

I had an issue with the Moroso gaskets, but I was using factory style chrome valve covers. I've since switched to the Mopar Performance Cast valve covers like you have and haven't had an issue. Been using the same gaskets for close to 10 years now and I check my rockers/valves once a year. I...

Which A-bodies do big blocks fit best in?

I think from 67+ the engine bay is pretty much the same. 66 and older have a smaller engine bay, atleast size wise.

    440 in 72 Dart Swinger?

You can fairly easily swap a 440 in to a 72 Dart. Most everything becomes harder/tighter to work on since the BB is larger than the SB. What is the purpose of the car and why do you want to switch? It maybe cheaper to actually build the 340 or even find a 360 than to switch to a 440. By...

Trans Dapt or Mancini for Slant 6 to 440 swap?

I used Trans Dapt on a 69 Barracuda /6 to 360 and everything fit like it should. I have no experience with Mancini.

    True deck

Last block I had done in Maryland was $200 to deck. That was back around 2017 or so.

At what HP /rpm level are billet main caps and or stud girdle needed?

For your build using a 400 block and mostly street driven. I wouldn't worry about billet main caps or a stud girdle. I have not built a BB stroker motor, but from buddies I race with (Most use 440 blocks) when they are around 13:1+, 7000 rpms + is when the block becomes the weak link. It seems...

    Radiator Hose

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to give the Gats 20229 a try as it looks like it would work.

    Radiator Hose

Anyone happen to have a setup similar to mine and have an upper radiator hose part number that would work for my application? The radiator I have is out of a Ford Aerostar mini van so the top inlet is on the passenger side. I've been using my current setup for awhile and it's been fine, but I'd...

    Headers

I have a set of Tti 1 3/4” and used to have a set of 2” tti. They both fit fine but I hated working on the car with the 2” so I sold them. They don’t list a 1 7/8” tube for an a body car.

    Headers

Other than the hooker fenderwell headers are they any other 1 7/8”primary tube headers that will fit a 440 in a Plymouth Duster? Even if they require some modifications I’d be okay with that. Currently have 2” hookers fenderwell on the car but they are bigger than I need and I have snout bars...

    440 next steps

Been using the tin valley trays for years. Only put a small amount of RTV/Silicone in the 4 corners of the head/block/tray areas. I've even reused the valley tray pan a few times without any issues.

    440 Dyno Results

I'd say realistically you may have 2-3 tenths left in the combo once you get it all sorta out. My wife's car weighs 3120ish on the starting line with her little butt. Her engine made 535HP on the dyno. It went 10.70s at LV last year during bracket finals, but typically a 10.90ish car.

    Rocker arms

I just went and looked and there were 2 that weren't in the correct position. There is a set of 16 correct rockers. Any idea what this set is worth on the market today?

    Rocker arms

Anyone recognize what brand these rockers arms are and what they fit? I got them with some other big block engine parts. Someone had a tag on them that said 1964 413 but from the little research I did 413 didn’t come with this style rocker arm. I’m assuming these fit all big blocks except a hemi...

What tires would you run with wheel well headers ?

I currently have Mickey Thompson Sportsman Front 26 x 7.5 on my car. They do rub a few tubes on each side when turning sharp. Before that I had "Volkswagen" tires on the front. Can't remember the size of the top of my head. Top picture is with the Mickey Thompson. Bottom pic is the...
