I believe these were 17x8 with 5.5” backspace. ‘73-‘76 spindle and UCA and Cordoba rotors. These wheels are on Josh Walton’s blue ‘68 Convertible. Guy that owned it at the time had it in the body shop and we used my car to fit test the wheels and tires because we had identical suspension and...

I don't see how they would be different, but I own a '68 and don't know for sure. Here is my page on the set-up and adjustment: Door Latch Adjustment - 1968 Barracuda

Mine has a fiberglass hood, I went with lighter weight stock style springs from a Dodge Daytona I believe.

I like your plan, just be sure to account for the location of the filter and filter adapter relative to the uni-body frame, it may be tighter than you think. Personally, if needed, I would notch the frame to clear rather than run the remote filter for your application. It would be cleaner...

I see the pipe plug fitting locations I remember on the right side of your picture. Looks like Chrysler used one of the ports for a pressure sensor. The 5.7 I worked on had plugs in both holes.

I helped someone do a 5.7 swap on an A-body 12+ years ago and it may have very well been the first A-body swap. The oil filter adapter he had did not clear the frame itself, I don't think the K-frame was the issue. TTI has a block off plate that I designed for them with O-Rings. On the 5.7L...

We did mine in this order: Repaired body, repaired door jambs (strikers ripped out), added sub frame connectors, torque boxes and other metal repair work. Test fit the engine and transmission together in the car. Made the new transmission tunnel and cross-member. Cleaned up the firewall...

Here are a few pictures of mine before we painted the undercoat. The radiator support on mine is 2x2 square tubing. I did not do fender braces, I was told they were not critical if I was keeping the torsion bars. Just what I was told... I was also afraid they might put a limit on tire size...

Yep. I bought the intake on E-Bay and sent it to Bruce at F&B. They did the conversion there and put their "six pack" throttle body set-up on it. Bruce was excited to get his hands on the intake. Prior to mine he had only seen pictures of this style intake.

Mine is narrower than the stock tank and is an estimated 32 gallons. I wanted 32 gallons to accommodate running E85 on road trips. 24" wide and 24" long, it sticks 4" above the trunk floor (even with the floor above the rear axle), hangs down 10" below the floor at the front, 6" below the...

For the power level you are looking at go w/ the smoother option, I don't think you would benefit and the drivability is more important. I think 3.55:1 vs. 3.73:1 in this relatively light car is going to be pretty imperceptible, I would lean towards the 3.55:1 especially since you want to do...

Don't forget to account for the thickness of the brake rotor surface... and/or just tell Cass what you measured and he can work it out. When I did mine I bolted the wheels up to the existing, measured the existing, and told Cass how much narrower I wanted the new one to be. I then sold my old...

Cons, it is wider. May need to move the perches. Need to run deeper offset. Pros, it is wider. If you want to run "square" AKA same tire and wheel front and rear it is easier to do with the B-body axle. If you need a specific width that is different than A body and have to narrow the axle...

I love it how the MFG of each piece on my engine / transmission combination wants me to move the engine 1/4", 1/2", or more up, down, left, right, front, or rearward to better work with their one item. Each move screws you in five other directions... and creates other problems you have to go...

    My 6.1 retrofit thread

Rat - There was a lot of slop (AKA extra tolerance) in the original build of these cars. Add to that the many years of things "settling" and being knocked about it does not surprise me that generally aftermarket parts fit poorly. When designing these parts they usually have a test vehicle or...

    My 6.1 retrofit thread

Because the block off plate was designed by someone else (not TTI) after the fact, and the mount was probably never modified to accomodate this. The original TTI design for a block off plate also did not include the O-rings and would have probably leaked. One of the first customers to get a...
