Yes, but I'm building a Mopar as we know, and its different lol...but will be interesting to see, as the whole build was pretty no expense spared.

My Dad and Brother built a pretty stout 488" stroker Pontiac for my brothers 71 Lemans a few years back, going to see if they remember what the balancer was like going off and the new one going on just for curiosity sake.

This is the thing- nothing I can find says that it NEEDS to be a press fit as a requirement...Not saying that it isn't, but I can't seem to find any proof other then what we all generally would believe as a requirement. Even in the factory service manual, I can't find anything that would say...

What exactly are you saying? Maybe I am misunderstanding, but I am also getting some numbers from elsewhere and I just want to find a decent range that hopefully lands me in the middle. I am also going to measure the inside of the balancer.

Would anybody happen to know the factory spec for the snout diameter on a cast 360 crank? That might be easier then trying to wait on finding a used balancer to check, since I can get the balancer off after work tonight to measure mine

My last LA builds used Hughes and T&D rockers and I shimmed them as necessary, so I am well aware that rockers are not just a bolt on and go item. Crazy late reply here, didn't even get notified about this or maybe I missed it. Budget has been getting tighter due to socialist policies North of the border, so I stuck with all stock pistons. Cam is currently at Oregon waiting in line for a regrind, going from hydraulic to solid.

Thanks for the replies guys! This is supposed to be a budget build, but the car is heavy and a 360 isn't exactly a large motor, so a good bump in compression is helpful!

Funny enough, the specs for the speedmaster Hydraulic ROLLER assembled heads seem to be LIGHTER on valvespring pressure versus their Hydraulic flat tappet stuff which seems odd to me.
