Curious if anybody has used Flatline Barriers insulation/sound deadener? If you have, what did you think of the results? Flatline Barriers | Individual Interior Insulation Kits They have pre-cut kits for '67-'76 Dart, Barracuda, Demon/Duster, Scamp, and Valiant. The price seems reasonable and...

Getting my set of BMW seats with belts soon...

Those seats would look really good used in conjunction with an A-body console since the shape of the stitching complements the shape of the console. Curious, what's the ballpark price in Texas? I'm certain it would be much higher if they could be found in SoCal.

    B&M Shifter Relocation

That's a SWEET console, Dragonsteel. Quite possibly the nicest homemade console I've seen. I really like the way you kept the OEM design shape at the front and how the wood finish on both the console and steering wheel complement each other. Great job! Did you keep the pattern?

    Acme headliner Rock Auto

Could this possibly be a breakdown of the foam? I've had a car headliner breakdown and start sagging before because the foam deteriorated with age. Yours may be a recent purchase and installation, but how long was it in Rock Autos inventory? And stored in their inventory under what conditions?

Stitching a leather cover on a 69 rallye steering wheel.

The Wheelskins kit (Leather Steering Wheel Covers Manufacturer and Distributor) does a great job. I used one on the steering wheel in my old '97 Dodge Ram and was very satisfied with it. Just check out their size chart and order the kit appropriate for your wheel.

Buying My First Muscle Car 1973 Duster 340 Interior Pic

Also take a small magnet with you and test over the usual rust spots that you've been told about in this thread. Not a strong magnet - something like what might be used on a white board. If the magnet isn't attracted to the body in the spot you're testing, then it's probably full of filler and...

Column shift guys, where have you put your Tach?

Back in the very early 70s I mounted my tach in my '69 Dart to the sunvisor mount/shoulder harness clip at the top of the A-pillar. Your local police may not like it there (mine didn't back then) so I wired in a pull-apart plug and just unplugged it if I needed to get a "fix-it" ticket written off.

Newer Challenger buckets in a Duster?

Yeah, they'll fit with a little work. Take a look at what one of our Inland Mopars club members did...essentially put a 1970 Cuda body on a 2012 Challenger R/T chassis and interior. And everything from the Challenger R/T works. It's a beautiful car that usually goes overlooked at most shows...

    Aftermarket gauges, brand choices?

x3 on Speedhut gauges! They did an outstanding job on the gauges for my (hopefully) soon-to-be-on-the-road '69 Dart (sorry, dash isn't done yet so no pic). They're also made here in the USA and will do custom work. Take a look...Gauges - Speedhut

    Sun Tach in 72 Scamp

Nope, I think he may have been more interested in the red satin and black lace garter that was around the tach. Hey, that was cool back in early '70s. You took the garter off of your girlfriends/wifes leg and put it around the face of the tach.

    Sun Tach in 72 Scamp

On my old '69 340 Swinger back in the early '70s I mounted my tach at the top of the A-pillar using a couple of the shoulder belt buckle attaching plate screw holes. Sorry, no pics. The only problem was the one time I got pulled over with the police officer claiming it obstructed my vision (it...

Question - '69 Dodge Dart Hardtop Headliner Options

Found an aftermarket vendor offering a '72-'76 Dart 2-door hardtop 1-pc. molded headliner. Is there any reason this and the sailboards wouldn't also fit a '69 Dart? Seems to me this would be a better option than the bow-type headliner for those of us not building factory resto cars. This molded...

Help!!! Need Tuff Wheel Horn Center Cap Info!

I need some help, guys! I recently purchased a very slightly used leather-wrapped MCB Tuff Wheel from a fellow FABO member for my '69 Dart build and want to use something different than the usual Tuff-type horn center cap. I'm thinking about either the Barracuda-type rim blow steering wheel...

    Fire Extinghuisher Mount Ideas?

Not a bad spot unless you ever have a passenger sitting behind you. If that's a possibility then I'd flip the fire extinguisher bracket 180-degrees so instead of lifting up on the release clips you have to push down. That would also put the fire extinguisher content-release lever on top rather...

    mid-60s looking steering wheel?

Classic Grant wood-grip steering wheel with rivets has been around for decades. This is the same wheel that I had on my first '69 340 Swinger. Or you can go even more basic with just a plain black vinyl grip on the same chrome-plated spokes.

    Driver's air vent...do I need it?

Oh, the old open container behind the door trick, eh? Got to say I never considered that. But I always thought the Mopar style of fresh air vents are simpler and more efficiently than any other design. I want to keep my Dart simple so I'm keeping the fresh air vents in my '69 Dart and doing...

    Grey leather interior.

I'm thinking a burgundy or deep red would go very well with your grey interior. There was a gorgeous Charger at MATS a couple of years ago that was that color combo, including the vinyl top and rear stripe and it was very striking. I'll see if I can find the pic and post it. (12/10) Found the...

    tac mounts lets see them

No pic, but back in the early 70s I mounted the tach in my 340 Swinger one of the screws in the bracket for the sunvisor and the shoulder harness buckle by the top of the A-pillar. Didn't have to drill any extra holes and it was very easy to see since it was just above eye level. Turned out to...
