    Engine shakes under acceleration

I would say the damper slipped. Have a good look at your first pic. Plus u have serpentine set up which will magnify the vibration. Kim

Plus having 7.0-1 compression doesn’t help either. Your cam probably isn’t doing u any favours. Kim

100 shot of nitrous on 360 magnum engine

Yup, I started at 150, then 175/200/225 than the top at 250. The old low compression 440 made 100 runs with the 250 shot. Used it as soon as I shifted to second gear. Kim

100 shot of nitrous on 360 magnum engine

My 440 was factory with a bit of a cam. It took the 250 shot like a champ. I didn’t use it till second gear. Kim

100 shot of nitrous on 360 magnum engine

I ran a 250 cheater on a 74 440. Started at 100 then kept upping it till getting to the 250 shot. Made lots of passes with it at 250. I had a separate fuel pump for nos. Kim

17 years in the Barn - Need new knowledge

It was gutted. Only a 6 point bar inside with a race seat. A very smart man built the engine. First refresh was for season number 7. 4.56 gears. Kim

That is a super stock cheater cam. Not very street friendly. EFI will not like it. Sweet car for sure. Kim

    Disappointed magnum head flow numbers....

Just for comparison my 470 stroker Dynoe’d at 655 hp. Heads flow 320 cfm. I believe the formula is 2.06 hp per cfm. Mine is actually pretty dam close. Volumetric efficiency was 108%. I will add that some motors put out beyond expectations while others fall short. I can’t stress cylinder prep...

Best street plus heads 543 stroker??

These are my pistons. Will be 11-1 with a 75cc head and a .040 gasket. This big engine needs a dished piston to keep compression down to livable levels. A bigger cc head will help also as well as a thicker head gasket. Kim

Best street plus heads 543 stroker??

Sorry that I decided not to sell my 543 and am now building it. U need a Max wedge ported heads and a matching intake and a dominator carb to feed a beast like that. Regular port heads and intake will be choking it off. It will still make good power but not great power. Best heads out there is...

    Dyno testing a stock(?) 1972 440

I built stuff from not as good of parts as I would of liked. A guy knows what will live and what won’t. I would do it again and again. I seen years ago what I thought should of never ran and it actually ran very good. Kim

    Dyno testing a stock(?) 1972 440

It wasnt a dig. I was just saying it just goes to show that someone in the know can build a better engine than 9”% of us. Kim

    Dyno testing a stock(?) 1972 440

Kim La Roy’s engine wasn’t just some worn stock build. It was machined to exacting tolerances. Sure it was low compression but it had near perfect bores and a few tricks we don’t know about. He is also a Pro engine builder that is a whole lot smarter than most of us on here. Kim
