    A833 - Identification and HELP!!

Mystery solved. Pea brain here, I should have considered ten years newer. I own a 77' Model Cordoba and should have remembered that. ARGH. My head is stuck in the 60's all the time. 318 or 360? The bodies are totally different down there, so what is the exact model?

    A833 - Identification and HELP!!

it may help to provide the casting number on the case and tail shaft housing. The vin appears to be gang stamped, which dealers had access to. The question is where did the car come from? I don't believe there was a Vin requirement for vehicles not built to U.S. specs. Anyway, the two sets of...

    Cast iron bell #'s??

They are normally on the rear. Keep cleaning, it would be unusual to not have one. I have a 65', so I'll see where my number is(9) Inch 273.

    Value a 68 A833 18 Spline

8A282522 sounds like the partial VIN. Someone here could probably help better with chasing that down. I say a 18 spline is just that, value wise. Irrelevant if it was behind a hemi, unless the trans can be matched up to an existing Hemi car.

can anyone tell me what this a body 4 speed came from?

can I mention that usually Mopar didn't put the vin# there in 1968. They were on the driver side, left of the kickdown linkage. maybe not on all models. Also, those numbers and letters aren't stamped like an original, way to crooked. Just an observation. Any other opinions?

convert from 3 speed to 4 speed ?

I had to find a truck bell housing. A good crazy friend put an 18' spline four speed behind his slant six in his 67' Coronet, He just looked for the truck Bell housing. Now, he feels ready should any Hemi drift by and attach itself to his Coronet. You never know!

    A-body BB 4 speed / Bell Housing?

I was told A' Housings were different, but I don't know where that comes from. The Chrysler parts book show the same part number for 67-69 A,B,and C as long it is 10 1/2 cast iron #2536945. The difference is the attachment to operate the clutch. There is a company re popping those parts as well...
