    Install them with just a smear of motor oil. You dont want to goop molly and have them hydrolock at the base of the blind bore. If you insist, just put the moly on the threads lightly.

    an LA adapter plate for a slant trans. I know they made a slant to LA trans adapter for trucks and taxi. I think you could possible make the push button work on an A-904 but I have no experience with push buttons.

    Sure, as using it as a guide? No problem. Have a sharp bit and make sure you got the meat for it. The "Magnum jig" was just a series of drill guides on a bolt on fixture.

    Not necessarily. Ford trucks and MBZ used external inline pumps. Ford strapped it to a frame rail. MBZ hung it in a vibration insulated scrodum next to the fuel tank, the bigger motors got 2 in series. These Walbro pumps can be had for under $40 online. You will need a return line.

    they are both Magnums......a 5.2 will still be behind a 5.9. Magnum to LA is the difference.

    The 5.2 magnum in stock form is about as stout as the LA360. They had very good cylinder wear, I bet it still has cross hatch in the bores if it came off a EFI motor.

    here is a few pics of the crosswind next to the air gap. Crosswind ports need to be port matched but the Edel on the other side has a wall that looked like a noodle, no pic though. Note slightly smaller plenum on Crosswind. I got that Crosswind for $30 on Craigslist off a Chevy guy!

    Mag rods have an 8 digit casting number, LA's had a 7 digit. Mag rods are thinner on the little end. Found this out by installing magnum stroker pistons on LA rods...they didnt fit! The LA is about 1.08 IIRC, the mags were like .980? YMMV.

    Woman, you should see my welds.....ie. far worse! Those look like some weird Chrome version of the discontinued Wide body valve covers that had the bolts on the inboard side of the wall. Typical Chinese hand TIG welds.

    ports will be too small and may not even seal with 360 gaskets. Use 318 gaskets but your leaving power on the table. Id go with Magnum logs, they are inexpensive, sized right and flow well. custom head pipes...or get them off the truck youll pull them from. Its a start.

    just use a stock silent chain and its designed tensioner. Plenty strong. Double rollers have less friction and may be stronger but do you really need one? Your not shooting for 100,000 miles on that motor

    hows that fit in an early A. Old distributor barely clears as is. I have a HEI (actually bosch module) all in one and have been looking for a year for just a stupid cap clip. Everyone sells the distributor, no one knows who makes it or where to get parts.

    And there goes the manicure. Seeing any teenager with a greasy tool in its hands now days is a nice change. Good luck. Hopefully its a massive head gasket fail only, not a windowed cylinder.
