Nice wagon! Not many had factory discs. Mine was also one of the few with them. What other options do you have?

This thread is making me want to get back on 66' wagon. Mine has more options than I have ever seen on another one... V8, PS, AC, disc brakes, roof rack. I even have the build sheet and window sticker. Gonna try and get the engine rebuilt this summer. Changing it to a 4bbl, but have all correct...

Send it my buddy Ed over at North Hollywood speedometer( in cali). He will rebuild the speedo head. Not too expensive and combine that with new cable(which I believe he makes also) it will work perfect!

I believe that I was the one that mentioned it. Mine are factory according to my fender tag and window sticker. When I bought it the PO had changed it to a 73 style disc master cylinder. I had always wondered how many wagons actually had the disc being that it was a rare option, maybe not...

That is a 62 or 63 b body...end of story.....ALL 63 and up darts were a bodies. 62 and earlier darts were b bodies. The VIN will tell all...first digit 4( 6 cyl) or 5(8 cyl), second is 2(dart 330) or 3(dart 440), third is 2 for 62.....

You need to do a cooling system pressure check, as well as a hydrocarbon test. Don't just start pulling things apart. Call around to see if any shops have these items.

You can find guys that reline them as well. I have a guy that relines all my brake shoes and pads that are obsolete.

What about power steering and column shift?

Any that do work with power steering?

Hope you can save the original motor. A new oil pump is never a bad idea. Maybe a complete reseal and timing chain too?

I have posted it here before, but I really like this thread. Factory 273, PS, A/C, disc brakes. I have about a 3/4" thick pile of original paperwork, including the build sheet, window sticker, application for title, payment voucher for deposit, and some original dealership service records...

In my white galen books, it says that in 66', 14 4 speed v8 270 trimmed dart wagons were produced. I wish mine was one of those. Any body else have disc brakes on their wagon?

That paint looks horrible! Too much orange peel. Haven't they heard of cut/buff? Not fond of the color either.

I met a girl out here that had a pink 66 barracuda that was a playboy bunny car. She has documentation, iirc, that shows it was ordered for a bunny back then.

it sounds like engine balance is off. harmonic balancer, bad tq, broken/loose flexplate? it can't be driveshaft, u joints, mounts, tires since its in park/neutral.
