Nice documentation!!! You got a car with a great starting point. We almost share the same interior/exterior color combo. You appear to have red/white interior with red exterior. I have Maroon/white interior with red exterior.
Awesome job.
Yes, all adjustments are done after. With the front vent window frame, you may need to rotate 90* and then back again to get it in the door. All seals and weatherstrip go in AFTER the glass.
Door glass and vent window install as an assembly. Glass slides into track of vent window from bottom up.
Then I sugesst 1.5-2" blue tape in all areas that could chip. Best to install with 2 people.
Make sure you have new vertical glass run channel. This is the piece that installs on the door...
Yeah thats a big cam and too much compression for a street motor.....
Comp makes a part #221-3 & 222-3 that are good cruisin cams...but you need about 9-9.5:1 comp....
Before you do that....
Actual cam specs, timing specs(initial and total). Spray something around intake and carb base to check.for vacuum leaks.
It might need tuning. 530 ?....lift maybe not duration.
Has anybody contacted Guiness? This has got to be the longest ongoing thread of all time on any forum!!
Ulf, you are doing a memorable and detailed factory restoration that is unbelievably great.
Roger Gibson should shake your hand......
I have watched your build over the years from what you started with....
Congrats!! on being able to finally drive what you've built!!! Looks great! Good job!
Looking good so far. Just out of curiosity why did you choose B&M shift kit and converter? Transgo is MUCH better. Don't expect that converter to last long.
Not trying rain on your parade, just curious.
Looks like you went for the 68 winow trim. Looks great! I agree the chrome cups will look good under the dash. Can't wait to see the front sheetmetal on there.
Been waiting on some progress pics....this car is gonna be awesome! Glad to see you still pluggin away on the details..
How are you gonna do the wiring? Hidden?
As always the cuda looks great!
In regards to more stopping force, what size master cylinder bore do you have? You may also want to think about hydroboost. Just get a pump and brackets to run it.
