    360 vs 383

He often writes and asserts convoluted ideas and what he thinks are facts. He is a keyboard warrior and thinks he knows what he’s talking about. The only person I put on ignore multiple times because I get tired of his ridiculous idiotic statements. I could spend all day correcting him over and...

    360 vs 383

Holy crap!!!!!!!!! Built similar but held back. What a crock of ****! I’m freaking believable. What a pile! Back on ignore. The only one ever to make the grade out of stupidity & consistently consistent with it.

    360 vs 383

I think the 383 has the goods over the 360 to be a more powerful engine and a better street or strip performer. Weight of the power plant is of some concern if the OE must be retained. Once the OE heavy iron is dumped for the aftermarket performance parts, it’s the big block. What would 225lbs...

    360 vs 383

    WOW! Both cars are heavy!

    Rear end

The spine count change on the axles. There is a slight difference in the ring gear to allow anti spin/anti lock. They are swapable from what I understand. This is worth checking into. Raise the rear end of the car with jack stand under each side suspending both wheels like I said early and...

Is this a option? Take the guys out of the Jeep rear and use it in the one you have?

    360 vs 383

Having driven both big and small block Dusters & Magnums, I think the weight difference is not a huge thing but noticeable. Once I “Aluminumized” the engines, there’s nothing to complain about.

    Rear end

Put the rear of the car on jack stands. Check the rear ends bolts for a metal tag that will state the ratio within. If it is not there, continue with the following. Chock the front tires, then the trans in neutral. Rotate the rear tires and count the driveshafts revolutions. This will come up...

Carb help * the famous debate and 2x different cars

MoPar tested the 360/380 engine with a 750 Holley and used 1-3/4 inch headers. If you move to an Edelbrock carb, use the 800. I use an 800 Edelbrock on my 10.5-1 - 340 with a 241@050 XE-HL from Comp cams. Use the 750 Edelbrock on the big Fury. My stock long block 5.9 uses the 750 Edelbrock. It...

That is the stock location for the coil and it’s in a better spot being away from the hot engine & exhaust. It’ll see less movement there vs on the engine since the engine vibrates and may rock a little if, OF the motor mounts are worn even a little bit.

Signs you're getting old for Classic Car Owners

I simply approach people with the mind set of stay humble, relax, there probably good people meaning well, though there often insulting & the biggest thing I keep telling myself is, Relax, your wimp, there strong, your slow, there fast, you have no stamina, they can go 50, 10 minute rounds…...

Signs you're getting old for Classic Car Owners

When you are sick and tired of people telling you something completely dumb/*** backwards that it doesn’t even make sense about your car even though you built it and know for a fact that there off there rocker and completely wrong, stupid, ignorant or just pretending to be a (smart) car guy. My...

Got a new Truck (new to me)

For myself on the ‘91 W-150 my son was driving, I wired in a MSD ready to go or you can do a MP Chrome box or the like. Let the OE distributor connection just hang there. I also didn’t disconnect the OE computer. The wiring was backed up already for the injection. When I ran the carb, I used a...

    Alum Heads

Sure it would as I’m sure the CNC work would open up the ports to gasket size if possible. But…. Would you use a mismatched set up like below? Of course not and basically it’s stupid. Bringing it up when I know you know better is a weird question I didn’t think I’d see. Below is an Edelbrock...

Local People seem to be more friendly when im on vacation.

The larger the population of a town, the worse people are. They’re just tired of bumping into each other and are piled up with crap on the mind. This puts a cloud in the brain and over there head. I would bet if you walked around late mornings until late afternoons, in and around your town like...

    Alum Heads

I think it’s a load of ****. As cast for a teen should be able to carry you very far in performance. A CNC’d set just raises the bar higher. I don’t see a problem anywhere with a set CNC ported on ether engine. It would have to be a disastrous mismatch to be bad. IMO of course.
