condition is everything, do you have pics? any leaks in the pistons? Also just a heads up EVERYTHING will need to go and be replaced by 73 parts for the swap the only thing that stays is the lower control arm.

    Rear Caliper Identification

The bracket looks a little different but my guess is its an adaptation of the scarebird rear disc conversion

    Rear Caliper Identification

Most likely an 80's eldorado calipers. Do you have a pic of the bracket for the caliper? Do you know if the perches were moved in slightly?

    Brake pedal sits too low

I believe you will need to adjust the brake light switch as opposed to the pedal (I could be wrong) I will check my service manual if you don't get a definitive answer before I get home. The dust boot goes on the push rod on the inside of the firewall the wider section pressed against the...

    new disc spindles

http://www.bigblockdart.com/techpages/spindles.shtml Sounds like a decent price. I think I paid 100.00 for a whole front setup but only the spindles and brackets were usable (Junk yard), do you have the big ball joint UCA's?

    brake parts

when you go looking you will only want to use disc brake setups from pre 1973 A bodies. It's a tall order, but I hope you find it out there, solely because its awesome to find scores like that!

    brake parts

its one of those things that they don't make anymore and people in the day didn't feel disc was all that necessary. I know on my car it came with the KH brakes and the previous/original owner had issues with them so he decided to switch to 10" Drums. So now there is a limited supply out there of...

    brake parts

not a problem, thats what this site is for. Kelsey hayes is a very expensive route to go, however I know there are a couple of complete setups on here to buy. if you stick with the LBP route you will need the following from the donor car Upper control arms Spindles Caliper brackets Dust...

    brake parts

then they are 100% 4.5" and will need a lot of things swapped to match. Very easily done, but it will not work with a lot of your current suspension parts.

    brake parts

correct, early brakes with SBP are kelsey hayes with 4 pistons. later brakes went to a one piston setup and are completely different
  18. salinasjoel

    brake parts

the spindles from a later duster will require the wheel bearings and hubs/rotors from it as well which determine the bolt pattern. you will also need the upper control arms from it as the ball joint sizes are different. You basically will be swapping the entire front suspension minus torsion...

    brake parts

most likely you have 4" SBP if its a 72 with drums. If you are taking the brakes from a 73-76 Duster it will be the 4.5" LBP and you will need wheels. You will also need to convert your rear to LBP or carry 2 spare tires

    Scarebird caliper install

    Scarebird caliper install

Hey guys, question about the celebrity caliper install on Scarebird style brackets. I understand that the calipers are single piston and therefore need to slide, but if I torque the caliper bolts to spec on the brackets I don't understand how I will get any movement. The metal sleeve that the...

    Right Stuff Lines

Car is a 68 Barracuda with a factory sway bar. Getting ready to go through the front end so I may as well go BBP Disc up front. Will the swap interfere with the factory sway bar? I know it can interfere with some aftermarket. Just wanting to know before I go to the yard and gather parts. Thanks

Can I use a master cylinder off a car with disc/drum on a disc/disc conversion?

    Residual Pressure Valve

With 4 wheel disc? Another member told me they didn't pull and it ran ok, just didn't want the rears to constantly have slight grip

    Residual Pressure Valve

Does a mopar aluminum master cylinder off of a 88 Van have one for the drum side? If I pull the brass fitting to remove a check valve using a deck screw like theramman can I reuse the fitting? Just wanting to know before I go and try to pull it out Thanks
