Not a Mopar, but super cool.

That’s so cool! A guy in my town drives around in this. The picture was taken around Halloween and he had it done up for that. He told me it was originally a delivery vehicle for Lucky Lager Beer made by General Brewing Company and the original lettering was still visible on the tailgate.

1/4 mile times with 3.23 gear

Yes 75 cc's, believe it or not. When I attended a Performance Seminar put on by Herb McCandless at Moparfest he mentioned that he'd measured dozens of X head combustion chambers and they were mostly between 70-75 cc's. I remember him saying the 340's were rarely a true 10.5-1 compression ratio...

1/4 mile times with 3.23 gear

Pistons were .026” above deck as block surface was milled .008” With a 68 cc combustion chamber volume static compression ratio was 9.8 to 1. I know claimed compression ratio on a factory ‘69 340 is 10.5 to 1 with 63 CC’s combustion chamber volume, but my virgin ‘69 X heads measured combustion...

Engine Break-In Oil do's and don'ts by Total Seal

That’s Lake Speed Jr. and that guy knows what he’s talking about. He’s the guy in charge of oil formulation (Chief Tribologist) for Joe Gibbs racing. I attended a seminar on “oil” at a local speed shop where he was guest speaker and this guy really knows his stuff and a really great guy too...

Finaly lined up against a new challenger!

When you a Tesla driver messing with the touch screen on the center dash, you know they mean business! I had one pull next to my Dart, and took off at the green light like he was shot out of a cannon. Since I had been in a test drive in Tesla a couple of weeks before, I knew what the driver...

340 rear main choices- race motor

I had a leaking rear main seal that I attempted to fix 4 times with no success until I did this. I found that magnum small block engines have a slightly smaller crankshaft rear main seal diameter making the magnum rear main seal clamp tighter on a non-magnum crank. Also, the magnum seal is...
